Kiwi in NYC, where's the killer music!? Hey peeps! I'm in NYC, Williamsburg to be exact, for the next 6 weeks and looking for some fun and some good music! . What's happening? Who are the killer local bands? . Saw Outkast at the Governors Ball last night and it was a great start. I wanna get deep though. I'm especially into real funk and groovy jazz and can mix in a little classic sounding hip hop and soul and some rock'n'roll too. Love James Brown, Sly Stone, Stevie Wonder and the other classic acts. . When the hell is Prince coming this way? I don't want to have to spend all my money to see him in New Orleans next month. I prob don't even have enough for that! . I've come from the other side of the world and am keen for action . The only things I have planned so far are seeing Janelle Monae and Sharon Jones & The Dapkings at their respective free summer gigs coming up... . Cheers!
