Bright Lights, Big City

Just watched it again, I'm so in love with that movie!

It's always been a fave of mine because when I first discovered it almost 15 years ago my life was SO MUCH like Jamie Conway's, the main character... It rang too many bells, I had to love it lol

Everytime I watch it again I so miss those days. U know it's odd but there's a real romantic dimention to this lifestyle: being heartbroken and abandoned by a woman, roaming in the city from party to party, getting high every night or so, flirting every night but getting back home alone every time because u can't take that girl outta ur mind, waiting 4 that day when u'll decide everything must change like at the end of the movie... I'm sure 2 some it'd sound pathetic. Believe me in my case it was HIGHLY romantic, a bohemian's dream, I was somewhat sad but it was also beautiful and I loved it!

My life couldn't be more different now and I like it as it is, living such a quiet life in India... but hell sometimes I really wish I could live like that again... I'll be 40 in 3 years so I guess it'd never be the same, I'm not the same, things r different when u're a confused 25 y.o. partygoer + u look like a fool if u're too much of a partygoer after 40 I guess... But hell I want at least one more of these heartbroken party marathons one day, 4 the sake of the good ol' days biggrin

Just wanted to share that: the nostalgy 4 the delicacies of a young urbane alcoholic's life lol
