Monte Carlo's only part of it.....

I know. I've been there. Monte Carlo is the administrative / most populated quarter of the PRINCIPALITY of Monaco. Monaco is not a city.

Monaco is an official municipality. It is a city. The administrative part of Monaco is actually Monaco-Ville!

My mum went there and said it was such a nice place, then it was featured on a travel show I saw and I wanted to go there this year on the way from Vienna to Prague but it's not even on the way sad

Monaco is a principality. It's official name is the Principality of Monaco. I'm not going to argue with you any more. You can research it on the internets:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monte_Carlo

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

"There is no geographical distinction between the State and City of Monaco"

Quoting from the link you provided lol

I've got a friend who lives there who explained it all to me when I visited him the first time. He told me how people often got it wrong that Monaco is actually the name of the city, and not Monte Carlo (because of F1, mainly).
