Just saw a 1942 movie called "Kings row" with him as one of the lead actors, and damn it, he could act! I only ever saw him in a Bette Davis vehicle called "Dark Victory", but he was barely in that.

It's a good movie. Cheesy melodrama but with some good performances though. Including Ronald. He plays the nice guy and does it well. "Gone with the wind" fans should like it. Over in the UK, its obscure, but I guess it was a hit movie in the US as it did get nominated for oscars at the time?

King's Row is a great movie. Reagan is also good in Dark Victory (with Bette Davis - and Humphrey Bogart in a small role) and Knute Rockne, All American.
