Dwyane Wade has confirmed the reports: He's the daddy of a baby boy whose mother isn't his new fiancee Gabrielle Union.

"I had a time, a part in our break, in our pain and our hurt, a blessing came out of it in my life, having a son that was born healthy," Wade, 31, said during a news conference Monday in Denver.

The "break" he referred to was one with actress Union, 41, whom he's been dating since 2009 but separated from briefly when her career and his injuries took them in different directions.

The boy, Wade's third son, was born on Nov. 10 in Los Angeles, according to TMZ, which obtained the birth certificate. Xavier Zechariah Wade's mom is one Aja Metoyer, 31.

"I've always tried to show my importance in my kids' lives and it doesn't change now," the Miami Heat star said, according to the Sun Sentinel, which covered the news conference. "So, I, my lady and my family have continued to move forward, and I think that's evident with the ring and the proposal that I gave her."

Union was said to have been initially angry about the news, a source told E! Online on Monday, but the two worked it out.

Wade is already raising two sons, Zaire and Zion Wade, from his marriage to Siohvaughn Funches, from whom he split in 2007. Their acrimonious divorce was finalized in 2010.

No word on who will be raising Xavier, though it appears to be Metoyer, who has two other kids, according to TMZ. Sources told the website that Wade — who is not listed on the birth certificate as the father, though the child has his name — has visited his new son several times already.

The Dwyane Wade baby situation had gotten a little more starry, with Damon Wayans Jr. revealed as the father of the other two children of Wade's new baby mama, Aja Metoyer.

Wade of course got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, "Bring It On" and "Being Mary Jane" actress Gabrielle Union, shortly before Christmas — about six weeks after little Xavier Wade was born.

The Wayans-Metoyer connection came to light on New Year's Eve, courtesy of TMZ, which on Thursday also had a comment from the "New Girl" star.

Wayans Jr. told the website that he and Metoyer, who have two daughters together, have pretty much nothing to do with each other except for co-parenting.

"My concern are my daughters and that they don't get hurt in any of this," he told the website, adding that the girls "love their little brother."

It seems unlikely — and fortunate — that the girls will get caught up in any scandal: Wade has already owned up to being the father of Metoyer's baby boy, in a news conference this week, and Union is reportedly OK with what happened. Xavier was conceived during a "break" in their relationship, Wade said at the conference.

"I, my lady and my family have continued to move forward, and I think that's evident with the ring and the proposal that I gave her," Wade said Monday. He called the child a "blessing" and said he was moving on.

I have to say I'm surprised at Luda, but the Gabby is stupid for staying with this fool, but then again, I think Dwayne was married when he met Gabby and I think they started creeping on his wife. A mess.

I can not get past the title... i am not sure how anyone could or would care except for the people? I am thinking I should know who they are? Wasn't one of them on the Cosby Show?

I don't know anything about any of these people but I have to say she's nuts if she still wants to marry the guy. The writing is on the wall here. Don't marry him!

And in the movies she's in, she constantly portrays a Black woman who can't stand "niggas", but in real life...
