I don't see it as no one cares about Roger Rodas, the guy who was driving. I feel badly for him and his family too. sad I think the difference is that no one really knew who he was or what he looked like or heard him talk or watched him cry onscreen, etc...so most really don't feel a personal connection as much as they do with Paul. When actors come into your living room, you see them at the theater, you follow their charities, their FB or tweets, I guess you feel like you 'know' them even though you really don't. So it feels like more of a loss than someone you've never seen or heard of. I don't know...just my twocents shrug

nod Now unfortunately- under very deep and saddening circumstances - the late Roger Rodas... pray is going to end up - entering our living rooms, too. sad

I didn't even know his name, five minutes ago. neutral

That's exactly right. sad

Paul's' quotes...

"Some people say that you should go to all the parties, to the nightclubs, the Viper Room, and make contacts, and I look at them and say, 'You don't want to have contacts with those people.' Look at what happened to River Phoenix (who died in 1993 of a drug overdose outside the Viper Room). If you get caught up in that, it ruins you. Hollywood is garbage."

"Surfing soothes me, it's always been a kind of zen experience for me. The ocean is so magnificent, peaceful, and awesome. The rest of the world disappears for me when I'm on a wave."

"You know, all that really matters is that the people you love are happy and healthy. Everything else is just sprinkles on the sundae." - in Flaunt Magazine, July 2001.

I seriously have no idea where all this "other guy doesn't get mentioned because he wasn't famous" is coming from. The guy has been mentioned in every single article since he was identified as being the other person in the car. Actually, more details tend to be about him as his young son was on the scene.

It's so ridiculous to say that the response to Paul's death mean that everyone thinks his death is more tragic than the driver's. Paul is simply more known around the world so more people are going to respond. Is that wrong?

4 teens were killed in a car crash locally where I live this past Friday but do any of you know about it? Of course not. Should I make a meme about how no one cares about them so I can wag my finger at everyone on my soapbox? Please...

Anyway...

I find this tribute song by RZA awkward, but I guess he really related to and like Paul.

File this one under: OOOPS.

"Wheel of Fortune" aired an episode last night that featured a puzzle with the answer "The Fast and the Furious" ... just days after Paul Walker died ... and now the show is in full spin mode.

During the show, producers ran a crawl on the top of the screen that read, "This episode was taped a few weeks ago, prior to the tragic passing of 'The Fast and the Furious' actor Paul Walker."

After the show aired, Pat Sajak tweeted, "Feel terrible about timing of 'Fast & Furious' puzzle tonight. Taped long ago & went out to 200 local stations days ago."

Still, it's unclear why producers didn't simply pull the episode to run at a later date.

Why would this be a problem?

The night after the accident my son was watching Mad and they did a Fast & Furious 6 spoof. Also remember seeing something else with Paul Walker (can't freaking remember what though) a day or so ago.

Everything Walker has to be pulled?

What does one need to be up to to have a car...and two humans...end up like that? That is sad. It must have been a horrific experience. I hope it didn't last long or was instantaneous.

Vin Diesel Speaks Out After Paul Walker's Death, Calls 'Fast And The Furious' Co-Star His 'Brother'

Vin Diesel spoke out for the first time following the tragic death of his "Fast and the Furious" co-star, Paul Walker, calling the late actor his "brother" and thanking fans for their support during this difficult time.

On Monday (Dec. 2), Diesel posted a Facebook message dedicated to the 40-year-old, along with a photo.

"To live in the hearts we leave behind, is not to die," he wrote, quoting the poet Thomas Campbell. "Pablo, I wish you could see the world right now ... and the profound impact, your full life has had on it, on Us ... on me ... I will always love you Brian, as the brother you were ... on and off screen."

Diesel later visited the ...alker died on Nov. 30 and used a police megaphone to express his gratitude to the crowd gathered there, the Daily Mail noted.

"If my brother were here right now and saw all the love that you're bringing here," he said. "'If he could see for himself that all of you have showed up to show my brother love at this hard time, and that his family gets to see all of you show the love that you've shown Paul ... It's gonna stay with me forever. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for coming down here and showing that angel up in heaven how much you appreciated him."

Diesel and Walker have been co-stars in the "Fast and the Furious" series since the first installment premiered in 2001. They were on a break from filming "...Furious 7" for the Thanksgiving holiday when Walker died in a fiery car crash in Valencia, Calif., on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 29), according to The Hollywood Reporter. He and the rest of the cast and crew were scheduled to recommence filming in Atlanta, Ga., on Sunday.

The fate of the action flick is unclear, but it will not be scrapped, THR reported.

Walker's other "Fast and the Furious" co-stars have also expressed their grief over his loss.

"I'm gonna carry this torch for you brother, with a forced smile on my face and Im gonna open my heart just cause your telling me to," actress Michelle Rodriguez wrote ...ebook page Monday.

Tyrese Gibson was seen cr...crash site Sunday.

Police are currently investigating the accident and have ruled out drag racing as a cause, according to CNN. Previously, authorities received a tip that there was a second car at the scene racing the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT, allegedly driven by Walker's friend Roger Rodas, before it crashed into a light pole and burst into flames. Investigators are now focusing on speed.

HGTV's 'Curb Appeal' Co-Host Killed in San Francisco Crash

1:22 PM PST 12/3/2013 by Ashley Lee

Bill Beckwith, co-host of HGTV's home-improvement show Curb Appeal, died Monday after a fatal motorcycle crash in San Francisco. He was 38.

The contractor was identified as the motorcyclist who was struck and killed by a car in the Lower Haight neighborhood, near the corner of Oak and Steiner streets, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. The crash occurred at about 8:30 p.m. Monday, police said. Beckwith later died at the San Francisco General Hospital.
The car's driver was a 30-year-old male who stopped after the crash and cooperated with investigators.
Beckwith grew up in Maine and graduated from the University of Montana with degrees in modern dance and English. He founded BB Design Build in 2001, specializing in cabinetry and finish work in the San Francisco area. He enjoyed kickboxing, yoga and martial arts, and also was a member of the Screen Actors Guild.

Us Weekly

Paul Walker's most famous role may have been Brian O'Conner in the "Fast & Furious" franchise, but his most treasured role was that of a father to 15-year-old Meadow. In a revealing new interview with Entertainment Weekly, his "Fast Five" co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson remembers Walker as a family man whose top priority was being a good dad.

"He was motivated by work that allowed him to take care of his family, number one, and that also allowed him the power and the leverage to help people in need and in crisis," Johnson told EW, noting that his friend had

"reservations" about being famous.

PHOTOS: Paul Walker's life remembered

"When I first met Paul, I think in our late 20s, we were young kids in the business," he recalled. "Then, years later, when I did [2011's] 'Fast Five,' we had an opportunity to spend a lot of time together and become reacquainted. At that time, we had both been in the business ... for over a decade, and the most important thing that we had in common was the importance of family time and being a great father to our daughters. We bonded over that."

Indeed, Johnson -- who also co-starred with Walker in 2013's "Fast & Furious 6" -- went on to note that the two talked about their kids constantly. (The WWE wrestler, 41, has a 12-year-old daughter, Simone.)

PHOTOS: Famous dads and daughters

"It was always the number one topic we would talk about. We would talk about silly guy things, his fast cars and my pickup trucks, or we would talk about the beautiful energy of Hawaii -- but it always ultimately came back to family," Johnson said. "And very specifically, the beautiful and important bond between a father and his daughter, and how we both realized that over the years."
