Game of Thornes book vs. tv show whine I thought they said they only did half of book 3. I'm nearly finished with book 3 and I haven't gotten to the Red Wedding yet. | |

They shuffled things around a bit. I think they wanted to spread all the deaths & murders out. That's right - more characters will die. Spoiler Alert! | |

They will have some new characters from Book 4 & 5 in the upcoming season.. so they are definitely shuffling.. I'm in the middle of the 5th book and the show really kind of sucks in comparison. It's so many little things they changed and I'm just like WHYYYYYY that would've been awesome in the show She Don't Speak..But She Remembers | |

The producers are aware that they are going to finish before the books are done, and have talked to the author who gave them guidelines on how the books will end. I kinda sorta cheated so I know gets the axe next so to speak, then I quit cheating after that. I'm debating whether to watch the 4th season 1st or read the 4th book first, I have the fourth book so I might end up doing that since the season won't begin until March/May 2014, that's a long time away in tv/movie world. | |

Go ahead and read the 4th book. Lots of shifting around of power. New characters are introduced. Kinda letdown after all the fun in Book 3. | |
