Anyone watch Orange is the New Black yet?

I thought it was awesome and a vast improvent from the late seasons of Weeds. It was funny and sad. Discussed a myriad of social issues intelligently. And damn...natasha leyonne could keep her fave outtabthe ladies laps.

I watched all 13 episodes in 2 days. :smh:

My boyfriend has been watching it, so I watched one episode with him..I think it was ep 8. It was very good though. :p The one where Donna gets locked in the dryer.

That stupid "christian" bitch does it...she gets hers....believe me...she gets hers. TWICE! But the story of how she got there is terrible all around. It covers the trinity...personal/political/religious...

Socioeconomic reasons play a part... but the manipulation of quasi-religious motives truly turn her(the "christian" girl) situation on its head.

Thats fuckin cool! Sometimes i feel for score writers cuzt hey get no love. Exceptbthe williams' and Boingos of the world. If i ran a studio, i would ban them from my films. What makes it worse for score writers is the music is somewhat intended to go unnoticed...but yet play a bigger part in moving your emotions than the pictures.

Okay I was hooked when I saw Capt. Janeway aka Red was in it.

I died when I saw Crazy Eyes parents and when she was quoting Shakespeare at Scared Straight.

The Meth-head Christian girl pisses me of but I can deal with it I know what's up.

The only thing that I find disturbing is it makes the women's prison look like a fun welcoming place to be to the dejected.

I love this show! I want more!

Taryn Manning makes a perfect meth head. And I have a special place in my heart for Crazy Eyes.

Yeah, it's Netflix. It can be explicit, but it ain't got nothing over "Oz".

This is a looney tunes cartoon compared to Oz. I hope they don't go there, but I can see how they could build up to that.

I watched the first couple episodes at a friend's, and the above was the last scene I saw.

From what I saw, the black girl on the left is released from prison. The other one on the right is wacky lol

I'm not sure if we're on the same page. I just know Oz got in places very raw and hardcore in it's violence, this show has some violence and sad heartbreaking stuff but a lot of it does come off silly and goofy which at this point I would not say about Oz.

Well seeing how its the same show runner as Weeds, I highly doubt youre going to get into the level of violence as Oz. Jenji Kohan doesnt seem to have that in her writing.

Well apparantly, you haven't made yourself clear, until now, so when you said going there, I thought you meant to the extreme.

...but overall, it is a nice show.
