^ does not understand the concept of a syllogism

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Syllagism is a theoretical thing to state an an argument

Issue

Rule

Arguement

Conclusion

there must be a major premise

a minor premise

and a conclusion

there can be a flawed conclusion

ie.

all reptiles are cold blooded (major premise)

snails are cold blooded (minor premise)

snails are reptiles......................(Conclusion)......flawed reasoning

yeah took me a long time to get it and I kept asking th electurer to explain it to me over and over again...........till I got it

LOL lots of people make that error.

it is like:

If it rains the lawn will be wet

the lawn is wet

therefor it rained. (except there is not only one way for a lawn to get wet)

in your example adding 2 words would make it correct! (changing one word would also make it correct)

here is a classic example can can you spot the error?

If I was hungry a ham sandwich is better than nothing

Nothing is better than god

I am hungry.

there for a ham sandwich is better than god
