Probably thinks Tommy Davidson is Martin's bald headed jobless friend.

I'm not hating on Hart, I actually like lil dude, but he lucked out with being a stand up in this era. He literally has no competition. Katt Williams is MIA. DeRay Davis (who you could say is funnie than Hartm his last soecial Power Play was great) Lil' Duval or Damon Wayans, Jr are really the only yound guys out, and they aren't even really that young. All are over 30.

There is a couple of new jacks out right now (Lavar Walker, James Davis, Jermaine Fowler, Karlous Miller), but with the way stand up is now, they will never be seen. No more Def Jam, Comic View, Premium Blend, Evening at the Improv, ect.

Let's say Kev Hart was around in 1993, 20 years ago. Who ws hot then, the already mentioned Tommy Davidson, Damon Jr's dad and uncles Damon, Keene, Shawn and Marlon.

The guy who put DeRay and Duval's name out when he let thm open for him, Cedric the Entertainer. Katt Williams enemy Steve Harvey.

Eddie Murphy wasn't doin stand up anymore, but was still the top star in Hollywood. Arsenio was still goin strong. Robert Townsend was directing, acting and still doing stand up.

Martin Lawrence was the host of Def Comedy Jam and had a hit TV Show on Fox. Also on Fox, Jamie Foxx and David Alan Grier of In Living Color. New series Living Single had John Henton, who killed Johnny Carson a few years earlier.

Chris Rock was just making a name for himself. Mark Curry was Hangin with Mr. Cooper playing a clean comic. The actual clean comic was Sinbad.

The young jacks were actually quite known. DL Hughley. Bill Bellamy was the host of MTV Jams, Dave Chappelle and Bernie Mac were around in things here and there. Eddie Griffin. JB Smoove was around. Fuckin Joe Torry was starring in movies back then ...

Kev just lucked out ...

Deon Cole did his thing too, and was really funny for a while, in a Dave Chappelle -meets-Steven Wright kind of way.

lmao, no you don't! Furthermore, if you did, wouldn't that be limiting his audience and impact way, way below the likes of more versatile and intelligent acts like Murphy and Pryor, who appealed to a much wider audience?

Come on now.
