In German they are called flip flops as well . In Trinidad/Tobago they call them slippers which didn't make any sense to me .

We USED to call them thongs... but had to stop when the underware became popular...

Actually...I am like that as well. ALWAYS wearing something on my feet, even on a hot summer day.

The ex got me into walking around barefoot indoors, so now I'm comfortable with it, but I much rather have something on my feet at all times.

One of the reasons why it was always nice to spend winter overthere . No need for warm winter clothes.
