Yeah last night's episode was pretty slow...though to me, basically summed up the vibe of this season.

Question 1: When will someone finally behead Joffrey's wack ass????!!!??? This fool here is insane AND annoying as fuck. He has way too much time on his hands.

Question 2: Where were the Tyrell's at? I have to say, I was a bit disappointed that they weren't shown last night. I had high hopes that Margaery would be doing some major manipulation to Joffrey this season...which it seemed to have started out that way, but fell flat. I'm hoping this will be the basis for next season because somebody needs to give him something to do other than thinking of ways to torture people for no reason.

Question 3: Why in the hell does everyone keep bashing on Tyrion? I had to at least clapping for Varys who did give some praise while talking to Shae, but then again that could have been a form of manipulation for him to get Shae to leave (which didn't work). But my goodness, how many times is Tyrion going to be reminded that he was never wanted in his family? It's really pissing me the fuck off pissed IMO, aside from Tywin, he's one of the most brilliant Lannister's in Kings Landing.

Question 4: Did you all see how Cersei looked at Jaime when he returned? Ole' hag looked like she wasn't too pleased to see that he had a hand missing. She looked at him like he was a cripple...the same look she gives Tyrion.

Question 5: Why is it that folks (Lannisters, Walter Frey, Roose Bolton, etc.) are talking about the Starks as if their whole family has been eliminated when Arya hasn't been accounted for? I get that everyone thinks that Bran and the other little boy are dead, but no one talks about Arya or even wonder about her whereabouts. She is definitely still a threat to the Lannisters...oh and Blackfish escaped so he's out there too. As Tyrion pointed out, the assumption shouldn't be that the Starks have been wiped out..that shit is going to come back to haunt them.

Urgh, papa Greyjoy is cold as ice. Damn, even though we know Theon is an idiot, you won't even rescue your blood? Hell it wasn't his fault that they cut his dick off!!!

My favorite scenes were when Tyrion was giving it to Joffrey during the small council meeting. Tyrion is the only one who will talk to Joffrey like the piece of shit that he is. I also loved the scene with Tywin and Tyrion talking..although it was hurtful, but I love how they interact because they are both highly intelligent. Out of Tywin's children, I think Tyrion is the most like him (minus the ruthlessness).

Wouldn't have minded a melt down from Sansa.. who would be that calm after hearing about your mother & brother being murdered.

I love how Ygritte shot Jon with the arrows. She's a wildling for fucks sake Jon, those n*ggas are real!! (Kevin Hart voice)
I cannot stress enough how happy I am that he made it to the wall. Him & Sam are back together biggrin

Wth is wrong with Bran?? He's gonna get his little ass killed! I wish Hodor would be like , nope not goin! Hodor..

The scene with Theon's sis was a lil cheesy but I'm happy she's goin to get him. Idc what he did at this point, he's suffered enough.

After re-watching, I actually like the ending scene. At least someone is who is a good guy, or girl is getting shit done. Mhysa!! Mhysa!!

Did anyone else feel the imagery of the final scene showing a group of poor dark-skinned people raising their blonde, caucasian liberator in adoration and chanting "mother" was in questionable taste? confused

^ Technically I can't comment because I won't see it until tonight but I don't think I'd be all that surprised since one could see that set up a mile away from the beginning, but given this society it really isn't new so most of the time I see it, note it, file it away and ignore it for better or worse.

Well I think "Mother" is more to a reference of being the mother of dragons, but I see your point.

Not really, her Khalasar are brown, most of the Unsullied are too. Add the Yunkish. But she'll be Queen of Westeros (I hope) mostly fair skinned there. If they all love her, I don't see a problem with it

I was watching with a couple friends and at the end we all kept staring at the TV like, "that's it?!"... I know finales are supposed to leave you feeling a little unsatisfied, so you come back next season, but since GoT season breaks are like a year long, we were pretty steamed that it felt like so much was left unsettled! :-/

If you will, so will I

"Walk of Punishment" and "Rains of Castamere" saved this season. "Mhysa" captured my feelings on the season in a nutshell: more windup than swing. Still a stellar show, but this season was transitional.

The beginning of the episode was as unsparing as the end of "R of C." Brutal violence against Robb and his bannermen. Arya's murdering the guy who beheaded Robb sent a clear message -- she is going to deal with those responsible, directly . . . and Jaqen is going to help.

Tywin and Tyrion are always great together; their last talk felt like a prelude to Tywin's passing (natural or otherwise . . . he seemed sick, but did any other non-readers think Joffrey is going to go after his grandfather?).

Theon's sister is going to start something big.

Bolton's men are brutal, so is his son; but he's playing the game. He'd been sizing Robb up for a while.

3 seasons, three messianic outros featuring Danerys.

Too many questions remain unanswered, but now the threat from the North is sinking in. How will King's Landing respond?

GoT is always worth my while, but I'm hoping for bigger things in S4.

I hear you, and sure, it fits in the story.

Dany was enslaved, intermarried and loved her husband. She is leading one people after another -- people Westeros ignores or takes for granted -- to conquest. And they love her for her telling them to "take" their freedom. All understood. She's the messianic figure in the story, for good reason.

The visual was cool (color contrasts and movements), but the image of scores of brown (ex-)slaves elevating and worshipping Dany as a "goddess" is bound to provoke a reaction. Even if the sequence legtimately fit into the story.

I question whether she will now that Jaime is back; maybe now she can tolerate it. But she's always overplayed her hand.

Speaking of Jaime, how long will his budding relationship with Brienne last if and when she learns about Lady Catelyn?

ohgoon No. Joffrey isn't clever enough to take out Tywin, nor Tyrion.

If anything, all the Lannister's better start getting afraid of Sansa. I think she may surprise us all next season.

Well I'm going to have to go back to season 1. While reading the 1st book, I think I forgot a lot of stuff or it wasn't in the tv show, it seems like a zillion things have taken place in just 3 season.

.

Reading that the author takes years between books, I hope he doesn't do like my favorite author did and lose inspiration to finish the series and then goes off to do another book, then dies. The tv show is riding his heels, having to slow it down and do half of the 3rd book this season with the 6th book supposedly coming out next year giving him time to complete the 7th book. And I hope he doesn't dragging it out to a dozen books in the series. Heck he could do a ton of prequels I know I'm curious of all the backstories even going back to the First Men.

All true, but Joffrey doesn't have to be clever or take Tywin out to try. We all know he'd like to after getting sent to bed without supper. lol

Sansa is really a blank slate. She could go in any number of directions.

Sansa saw her father's head on a spike; Arya saw her brother's mutllated body used for sport. What Arya did was shocking (but had been building for 2 seasons), but the Hound stopped Sansa from killing Joffrey. So . . . hmm

Did you see the look Tywin gave Joffrey last night?

What is it that Sardo Numspaa said: "I could destroy you... (Snaps fingers)... just like that." evillol

Yes let Joffrey try all he wants to, he wouldn't succeed. What he really needs is some pussy to occupy his mind. I thought that was what Margaery was going to do this season...but somehow it went left field.
