Actually there are a lot of philosophies that strongly follow visualization. With a set of rules to follow on perfecting their techniques.Think Dale Carnegie, or Amway...Now, Visualization what does this mean to you? can be a bit vague, don't u think? What are you really asking?

You visualize it and put work into it to make it happen.

99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

My dad had MS. He visualized himself running and used that as inspiration for getting out of bed, attempting to stand, and taking steps. His disease still progressed, but he was able to get up and about far longer than he should have been. To me, visualization is inspiration. You use it to energize and motivate yourself. And then you do the work.

It all depends on how you look at it.

OK, done with the jokes. Visualization is absolutely critical to success at any endeavor. Where you see yourself in five minutes or five years from now is exactly where you will be.

I am a HUGE believer in visualization. It absolutely works, and you will find very few successful people that do not utilize it. In fact, I'd say those who say they don't use it actually DO use it, but don't realize they are using it.

One of my favorite successful people of all time is Arnold Schwarzenegger. (I know, I know - his personal life was not the best). Here is a man who became: (1) the greatest bodybuilder of all time; (2) the most successful actor in Hollywood; and (3) governor of the biggest state in the country. How did he do it?

Visualization.

There is a great quote from Arnold about this. He said it after he'd announced he was retiring from bodybuilding and going into acting. Naturally, there were many naysayers - "You're too big! You have no experience! Your accent is too thick!" What was Arnold's response?

"I have already achieved this in my mind. Now it is merely a matter of going through the physical motions."

I have never, ever forgotten that quote. To me, it is the formula for success in anything you want to do.
