GoT Season 3 ep. 6 "The Climb"

Tywin's plans to marry off his kids continues.

I can't wait to see what happens tonight and, for me as an added bonus, there's going to be a teaser for True Blood before GoT starts.

* woot! * excited *

I saw last night's episode but I need to do a re-watch. lol

So who is the identity of the guy who is torturing Theon? Still a mystery to me.

Dang, the red haired witch took Gentry. So what is she going to do to him again? She needs his Baratheon blood right? Is Arya going to do something to save him?

So Jon Snow and his girl managed to escape treachery and climbed to the otherside of the wall. Great, now he has to deal with garbage who's around him. For some reason, I don't trust Ygrette. I know he all in the clouds in love right now, but Jon better be smart about her. Wouldn't it be something else if Jon became a King and Robb ended up having to go to him for help somewhere down line?

The whole Tywin vs. Lady Tyrell conversation went by too damn fast, I need to put on closed caption to understand all that was said there and read between the lines. I love how the old lady gives Tywin a run for his money though. Maybe he ought to cancel the wedding between the kids and marry Lady Tyrell himself instead. lol

Like I said before, I need to do a re-watch when I get off from work today. lol I feel like I still missed a lot of stuff, or misunderstood it, whatever.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I thought Arya would fight a little harder for him, that was not like her character. I was expecting her to really go off. I was disappointed there..

I missed some stuff that was said too. She called Loras, her own grandson a sword swallower falloff And I'm shipping Tywin and Olenna so hard now
lol

This was definitely an episode you have to pay close attention to. It was a little slow
for me, but I still enjoyed it. And poor Ros eek sad

Warning, I’m going to screw up everybody’s name, title, homeland and whatever else possible, probably I’ll go completely fubar with it all, but I don’t have my cheat sheet and I don’t have the time to Google anything right now. So correct me or don’t, I’ll try later to make any correction that need be.

.

So I think I see Grandma Tyrell issue, Loras(?) Knight of Flowers guy, is the only male heir and the only one who can pass on the family name, they need a damned good match to maintain the House of Flowers, which she sees as in a weak position. Good Luck with that one, he has no use for girls not even to have a conversation with. I’m under the impression that even Margery(?) is still a virgin. Tywin is threatening to cutting off the family line by making it so Loras can’t have any heirs, legally, unless he marries Cersi, which he would have a lesser chance of producing an heir than he would with Sansa, which again is really tiny itself.

.

Now that Joffrey’s completely crossed the line and is madder then even the old mad king, I doubt even Margery could control him, especially after they’re married. He has to die, I don’t know if there’s anything worse then putting barrels of wildfire all over the city to wipe it out, but I think give him a minute he’ll think of it.

.

Poor Sansa, the pawn, there’s no way for her to move and she has absolutely nobody to advise her. She, doesn’t even know that given the present circumstances, Tyrion, is her safest choice. I feel sorry for her, not even her wolf for comfort. Where is Arya’s wolf by the way?

.

Littlefinger, who has completely lost all appeal for me since that character is just too freaking iced hearted, he is so pissed he’s going to bring down a wrath on everybody, stirring up as much mess as he possibly can, taking no prisoners, and I don’t think he saw Arya cause it seems odd for him to let that little morsel slide through his fingers, unless he has a tiny spot of warmth in his heart because of Catherine.

.

I think the Botherhood planned on selling Arya in the beginning and still are planning on selling her, just based on what they just did to Robert’s son, it’s just a matter to who. And now we have more shadow figures to look forward to, not yay.

.

You know what, a ton really did happen in this episode for nothing to really have happened. And doesn’t that guy remind anybody else of William Hurt?

I missed something here.. Did Lady Olenna agree with the marriage?

.

Although I like Tyrion, I don't think that he's her safest choice.. Tyrion hasn't much power anymore and she's still stuck in King's Landing surrounded by Lannisters

Littlefinger, who has completely lost all appeal for me since that character is just too freaking iced hearted, he is so pissed he’s going to bring down a wrath on everybody, stirring up as much mess as he possibly can, taking no prisoners, and I don’t think he saw Arya cause it seems odd for him to let that little morsel slide through his fingers, unless he has a tiny spot of warmth in his heart because of Catherine.

.

I never cared for Littlefinger.. I just hate him so much more now.. As for Arya, either he didn't know that was her or he has a scheme up his sleeve involving her

I think the Botherhood planned on selling Arya in the beginning and still are planning on selling her, just based on what they just did to Robert’s son, it’s just a matter to who. And now we have more shadow figures to look forward to, not yay.

.

I was just starting to like the Brotherhood, not anymore. I do understand their need for gold.. but selling Gendry was fkd up. I hope that Melisandre bitch gets hers, soon!

You know what, a ton really did happen in this episode for nothing to really have happened.

.Poppa Lannister threaten to make Loras the guardian to the king which means he could never marry therefore produce no legitmate heirs if she didn't agree to allow the union between him and Cersi, now unless Grandma has an ace up her sleeve and she just might, I don't see her saying no to the marriage just yet. They both are fighting for their family's lineage and title, especially since Jaime is still MIA as far as they're concern, Pops' got a lot to lose too, he has Cersi, Tryion or Joffrey as his heirs right now, we know he ain't happy right now. Speaking of Jaime, I don't think Pops is going to be forgiving and let anybody slide for the mutilation of his firstborn and heir, a Lannister always pays his debts, somebody gonna get checks cashed all over their tail.

.

I've always suspected the Brotherhood, I've never understood why they had to 'escort' those kids, and not just let them go on their merry way unless they were planning on pulling a fast one.

.

Oh and Littlefinger has no idea where Arya is right now, so she's out of any game he's playing right now, unless he has contact with the Brotherhood which would be an interesting twist of events, cause that means he should know about the Hound's wereabouts.

I read he's a Snow, don't know if that means anything, but that would give him an issue concerning Winterfell. Maybe he's the bastard son of the guy that Theon beheaded rather badly???

Do both the Red Witch AND Brotherhood Without Banners worship the same god? If so, then I think - without knowing the books one bit - that the Red Witch is coming after Gendry.

My Reply No. 16 from Ep. 5 thread last week. Nailed it! For once.

Yes, he's the bastard son of Roose Bolton. Poor Theon looks like even more torture for him. And Sansa has shitty Gaydar. lol

I mean after one or two episodes of Theon's torture, I was more or less satisfied, but now we on episode 6 and the psycho guy is JUST NOW getting around to fucking with Theon's finger? This is worst than those SAW movies. Urgh. I'm actually feeling sorry for Theon now. Poor thing.

And Sansa not only has poor Gaydar, but poor judgement in people period. Her ass should had figured out by the end of season 1 that she shouldn't trust no one, especially Littlefinger. His ass is getting quite devious.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

^Sansa has really degraded this season to nothing more than the typical damsel in distress. The first 2 season she was smart enought to keep her head down and not trust anyone. This season shes a totally different character.

I'm not sure what hand she could play. I'm sure she realizes her life isn't worth anything as a daughter and sister of traitors. The only advantage she had was being queen and even then Joffrey abused her like she was trash. I'm thinking she figures she's got to trust someone to get her out of there. Not going with the Hound has got to be eating at her.

Aw okay, of course here I'm losing track not that anyone could tell with me calling Catelyn, Cathrine , and spelling everybody's name wrong, Gotta remember Theon had 2 innocent children killed and burned to cover his own azz.

I wonder how much the Hodor guy gets paid, he's got one word to remember ever, hit his mark and he's pretty much done.
