Bra must always match the panties

Have any ladies here received this advice from their mommas?

Try not to become someone else’s problem & be careful with your money.

Don’t act on anger. Wait 24 hours to see if it’s still that important.

I will also say that I’ve tried to take some cautionary lessons from my dad & some of the things he believed. He was in many ways an incredibly talented & knowledgeable guy – could fix anything, could recite passages from Shakespeare from memory, had a knowledge of history & science that would amaze me at times. It was very, very tough to beat him in an argument – i’d be sitting there thing ‘how does this guy know all this stuff?’ But even with all that talent & depth of knowledge, he still believed a lot of what I would describe as pretty silly stuff (creationism, paranormal things). So whenever I approach a topic or make a decision, I try to keep in mind that my preconceived notions, no matter how well I may know the issue, might be wrong, because even the best informed have blind spots & sacred cows.
