Howard Stern calls out society's BS especially on the different societal classes. So, he gives a voice to those who other wise may not. However, Stern does so at the expense of others, very crude and base like, without any empathy for those in his verbal attack range.

Stern is some what like the Jerry Springer show (SHOCK just to shock), but Stern does add to the over all conversation on society's BS, unlike Springer's show.

I think Paul Mooney is better... Howard Stern seems to say things just to shock people and not because it has any intelligent value.

This commentary on the Oprah interview was alot better than what he has done in the past.

I would say that he says things because he honestly believes them and it bothers him that nobody else is saying it. And I would say that that (and the way he says them) have lots of intelligent value.

Howard Stern is a pig but he's right about the pathetic content of that interview. disbelief

When she said the Superbowl performance was "art meets God", somebody should have slapped the piss out of her.

Why do you feel he's "a pig"?

Howard & Robin are so on point that I think that this Stern segment is an excellent example of where art meets God.

And while we're on it, I hafta say,
since joining this site, I've come to honestly believe that all my fellow orgers are fire.
Seriously.
Y'all fire.

There is nobody who is so known and loved around the world as Oprah is. And made life better because of discussing taboos.

Mr. Stern will never, ever, ever reach as high as Oprah. And he knows that.

THe only thing he is good at, is being rude about other people. I don't find him intelligent at all.

He's just an ass. Paving the way for people to scold at eachother, be rude and sexist. I don't understand why people think he's so great.

Actually, Howard is the one discussing real taboos.

Reach as "high" as Oprah? If that's high, he doesn't want to.

He's not rude about other people; he speaks his feelings. And he's very intelligent.

People think he's so great because he speaks the truth. I guess some people just aren't comfortable with that. shrug

I don't think that Howard has the same global impact as Oprah has had. And she might have a more modest style, I do think she has made life for women around the world better on so many levels.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

Well that's because Howard's a shock jock and Oprah appeals to everyon..., er, maybe every woman (and maybe some men). But of course Oprah is gonna have more universal appeal.

Not just Stern...the whole shock jock style is too boorish and crude for my liking. I don't like Jamie Foxx, or Rickey Smiley either.

These people are being groomed as political puppets.

People are being groomed to be their sheeple.

If Howard was really interested in breaking it down,

they would be talking about Oprah & Mrs. Carters motivatons behind this interview.

From Bob Lefsetz's The Lefsetz Letter:

I’ll admit it, I’m addicted to Howard Stern. When he goes on vacation there’s a hole in my heart, I count the days until he comes back, sometimes I don’t even want him to come back, like a jilted lover I want to teach him a lesson, and I don’t want to go through the pain of withdrawal one more time.

You see he’s just that good.

Don’t compare him with the Howard of yore. They play reruns on Howard 101 and they make me wince. There was an air of desperation back then, Howard hadn’t yet found his voice, he wasn’t comfortable in his skin.

But he is now.

I will. I played the video last night and I actually agreed 110% with what he said. He definitely doesn't sound like the '80s/'90s/early millennium Howard Stern.
