With my own brother, hell no. As for me having two brothers at the same time, I'd love it. I wouldn't want identical twins though because their dicks would look the same. All this talk of gentics shows 2 things: 1) some people do not really understand the risks of even colse family members having kids. 2) what about people with genetic disorders that want to get married to other people with the same disorder?

What if I had some genetic issue and I met a person at support group and we fell in love and wanted to get married? Under the "no because of the risk of genetic problems" argument, would we would not be allowed?

another note concerning the sexualizing of core family relationships; the one of the older girls DID sexually interact with /abuse the younger brother (no genetic relationship to each other but both were adopted and raised in the house from early ages-she is 4 yrs older than he is) and is has done irrevicable emo/pyscho damage to him, by his admission, bcos of the trust that he felt with her.

im the middle of 5 and no matter the probs ive had with my sibs i trust all of them with my life and well being. maybe its hard to do that if they used me for selfish sexual gratification- and isnt that what most incest situations amount to.

I understand how it's a "respect" issue. If your Aunt and Uncle forge a family unit, it should be protected for what it is. Olders siblings, even if only related in spirit and by custom, are supposed to look out for you -- not traumatize you; because it wasn't consensual, that situation was a horrible breach of the sibling bond.

I don't know the statistics, but I originally did not look at incest as a gateway into child molestation. Since Googling the topic, I see many agencies suggest the majority of incest is molestation. Some therapists even teach that incest can NEVER be consensual --- which I completely disagree with.

That is an interesting argument. However, I don't understand your first point. The points made here about elevated risks of birth defects are very real. In some cases the risk can be as high as 13 percent. You seem to be dismissing the fears by saying "some people do not really understand."

And then you compare the risks to two peple with genetic disorders. Um, those risks are reall too which is why there's the practice of getting blood tests.What point are you making?

If you are making the point that people with genetic disorders hve the freedom to get married and therefore consensual incestuous couples should too, then I'm with you there (although we don't need to minimize the risks to make that point). I personally don't think the government should involve themselves in who people want to marry or have sex with. I assume they think they are doing the grandiose act of protecting the species at large -- and this is probably true to an extent because many people are dumb, unaware, won't research the elevated risks or just don't care.

I hate it when people I find unattractive or disgusting talk about sex. I guess they shouldn't have sexual feeling or thoughts, if they do they should never act or speak on them.
