High or low maintenance?

Which are you? And on what criteria do you base your classification?

I'm a hybrid - high maintenance for myself, but low maintenance where others are concerned. By that I mean, I keep myself up (getting my hair cut and colored every six weeks, nails done every two weeks, wearing make-up every day, always dressing well), but I don't expect other people to contribute anything to my maintenance or cater to it (unless I'm paying them).

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I guess you can say I'm high maintenance....but I literally do everything myself - hair colour and cut, nails, blah, blah, blah. I like to try and look my best every day and do like nice things.

As for emotionally high maintenance or high maintenance relationship wise...I'd like to think I'm not but I probably am. I'm going to ask a few people and get back on that one.

Very low maintenance in my personal appearance and in my friendships. I hate drama and my friends hate it as well and that's why we get along so well.

As far as personal maintenance, I don't wear makeup, wear very simple clothing and keep my hair short in its natural state.

Harry: There are two kinds of women: high maintenance and low maintenance.

Sally: Which one am I?

Harry: You're the worst kind; you're high maintenance but you think you're low maintenance.

Sally: I don't see that.

Harry: You don't see that? Waiter, I'll begin with a house salad, but I don't want the regular dressing. I'll have the balsamic vinegar and oil, but on the side. And then the salmon with the mustard sauce, but I want the mustard sauce on the side. "On the side" is a very big thing for you.

Sally: Well, I just want it the way I want it.

Harry: I know - high maintenance.

LOL - this is great.

I would have to say I'm inbetween. A bit of both. I get my hair high-lighted, wear make up and I love clothes and handbags, but there are times when I can just go with the flow. I don't need my dressing on the side smile

Overall, I am very low maintenance.

I can be high maintenance when it comes to food (going out to eat) and sex.

I would say low maintenance, being a single mum, you put your kids first, bills first etc. Although, I do look after myself and my house it's a pride thing. I still don't go without, just careful with money. Work requires me to dress up, but at home am happy to dress and be more relaxed.

I would say I'm just about the same. Try to do the best for myself and make suggestions for the people I care about. Not too judgemental about most things.

I do my own hair, brows, nails, pedies... but I worked in a full service hair salon for years and was a master colorist in my salon. So my hair always looks fresh from the salon look... unless I wear it curly. People swear I color my hair.... I don't. Haven't colored my hair in over 10 years, love my natural sheen and color, get compliments on the street often. touched

I never hardly ever wear makup but when I do it is minimal/natural looking since I don't like looking "made-up" during the day....

I used to wear sky high heels until I injured my ankle... now I go "old lady" with my foot gear... I need a comfortable shoe.... I don't do calluses, blisters, soreness, or swelling of any kind. I keep my footsies soft and clean.

I don't eat out anymore like I used to because last time I ate a steak... it was great and over $60.00

I was also clutching my chest thinking I was gonna have a heart attack.... yeah... no more dining at Scampo's for their fab food and drinks. sad Or any other steak for that matter....

So now I do food restrictions and must be strict about how my food is made....

yeah... I guess I am high maintenance.... but I really feel like I am low maintenance since I look so ordinary. lol

Most guys are generally low maintenance except for the late teens & early twenties.

...and mid forties...especially when they're traumatized for wearing sneakers out-&-about in Miami.

Probably both. But I'd say over all low maintenance. I'm like Genesia in that I do it for myself and don't require others to do it for me.

Although I do put dressing on the side and that's because I'll use less dressing that way. But the mustard sauce stays on.

I have very close friends who don't give a crap about their appearance (They are clean but extreme casual.) and that's them being them. Just like me being dressed well everyday is being me.

I think I'm low maintenance.. I do my own hair, nails, eye brows.. I don't keep my nails done because I bite them and it's pointless.. My toes are always fab!

But when it comes to clothes and shoes, I HATE HATE HATE shopping!! My wardrobe is crap.. I do like shoes, but I typically only buy them when I have an event to goto..and don't wear them often..even tho I have a killer walk sexy

My place looks like it's high maintenance because I'm very into home decor.. But the things I have aren't very pricey.. I keep my shit nice tho cool

I've actually kind of painted myself into a corner with that - I almost never wear black head to toe anymore. lol

Much as I appear low maintenance razz I'm very fussy, particular and uncompromising. But I set my standards low because I hate disappointment lol
I don't have the energy to make a drama if things aren't the way I want, which kind of leaves me lying on the couch daydreaming about living in my own place where I don't have to pick up after anyone else :cloud9:

What I require isn't so much I think, yet the fact that I can't have it makes me wonder if I'm wrong?

Very low.

I must wash my face and brush my teeth (at least) three times a day. Morning, sometime after lunch, or just in the afternoon and before bed.

I must shower in the morning. Sometimes in the afternoon or night if I've done a lot of yard work, hiking, going to the beach or whatever.

I shave my own head every two weeks - takes 5-10 minutes if I take my time.

I don't shave my face with a razor, just keep it super short with a beard trimmer every couple days. Takes about 30 seconds.

I do laundry every week, whether I need to or not, and I have to have clean bedding once a week (I hate dirty sheets).

I iron. Ironing is probably the only high maintenance thing I do. Because if my shit is wrinkled, I must iron it before wearing it.

But if my clothing is ironed ahead of time I can take a shower, get dressed (in nice clothes) and be ready to go in 15 minutes. I do it all the time. lol I know people who spend, literally, hours on themselves DAILY. Freaks me out. I've got too much other stuff to do.

Definitely low maintenance, but proceed with caution when the Check Engine light goes on.

I do my own nails, hair and make up fastidiously. I wash my own hair, dry it myself and look at my nails from all different angles. Toenails too sometimes, I'm pretty good with those. Make up takes me no time at all as apart from maybe once when I was pissed and taken advantage of by evil females, I never wore any.

Physically, low maintenance. I keep myself clean and tidy, nice clothes etc.

Sexually, high maintenance. Oversexed is overrated, I'm fuckin burstin.

Mentally, off the fuckin scale. I'm a proper nutjob.

Emotionally, see above, add scars.

Horoscopically, Gemini, fuck off I love you.
