Thankfully, the scene was a stunt by viral marketing firm Thinkmodo as publicity for upcoming gangland thriller movie "Dead Man Down." I think that there's two types of people; those who ACT and those who REACT.
Have you ever been present for a car accident? (Not your own) You will notice that MOST of the people stand there either frozen with fear/shock or call out for help. Then there are the ones who will run in and try to help the people.
I would like to think that if I was standing there, and the elevator doors opened and I witnessed that...I would run in and try to help. But in all honesty, I think that the reality would see me run to get help. Not run away or take a picture...try to go get cop or security guard. I only say that because whenever I face a shocking situation I tend to seek people who are better equipped to handle the situation. But then again if someone's life was at risk, I think that my conscience would help me ignore the debate-in-my-head and just step in to help.

I know I'm not in any way capable of winning against a man in a murderous rage to make it a double homicide, so no I'm not jumping in the middle of it, but at the same time there is no way I'd just walk away and pretend I didn't see anything. That's what 911 and cellphones are for. | |

From what I can deduce from the news, in Detroit people just look at you and say your on your own. Bus a bus load of people will shrug and sit there and tell an old lady who has a gun in her face being robbed for her purse that she's on her own. So I dunno, crazy people running around knocking off any random who for some change, should you put your life on the line and interfer in what's happening knowing you will just become another number? To make a thief, make an owner; to create crime, create laws. | |

Saw the one this morning of the person sic-ing their dog on the guy. Another guy jumped in and almost choked the other guy out. This experiment was dangerous, what if one of these people tested was carrying a gun and felt hero-ish. I respect using the fire extinguisher though I have no idea how effective that would be. | |
