The message on the Mohegan website says it will go on tonight as scheduled. Obviously the band is already there because it's the tour opener, so Mohegan doesn't care that the roads are still closed. They've got their money already.

Not a big deal for us as the tickets were free, and we'll be seeing them in Florida next month anyway.

So nice of the casino to not inform ticketholders until after many of them probably risk their lives to get to the casino. No ulterior motive there, right?

The LIE was like a fucking parking lot. Forklifts had to be used to get some cars out. WTF were these folks thinking? One dude spent the night in his car. A woman had to be carried from her car to a rescue vehicle because she was wearing slippers - that was real bright.

People lose all common sense in an emergency. Gov. Cuomo was pretty pissed about so many choosing to drive.

No different than the folks who ignored all the warnings about Sandy, then tried to drive in the middle of it.

fucking al gore and his bullshit making us numb to these acts of god. fuck a state of emergency for ct. i got bills to pay, a job to contribute to and meet chicks/crazy ass cheap individuals (one in the same sometimes ) and don't wanna be stuck here with a full tank of gas, some dough, some comida and no love for anybody .

Two years ago when we had massive snowfall over a one-month period of time, I couldn't believe the town actually brought in snow from other areas and dumped it on my property. It was at that time I first learned that towns technically own the first 11 feet of property in everyone's yard, and therefore can dump anything they want on it. I'm hoping that doesn't happen again, because like you said I don't want to be worrying about my basement taking on water.
