Hello back at you my fellow Nutmegger! wave I slept right through the thunder-snow, but I did hear the television guys talking about it. Can't wait until the roads are cleared, but the governor made it sound like it won't be until tomorrow. Tonight I was supposed to see Jovi at Mohegan, looks like that ain't happening.

wave glad we can at least wave. can't do much else. or were we gonna anyways? music

it's not you, ct. wave

For all time I am with you, you are with me.

Hopefully they will cancel the show and reschedule.

The message on the Mohegan website says it will go on tonight as scheduled. Obviously the band is already there because it's the tour opener, so Mohegan doesn't care that the roads are still closed. They've got their money already.

Not a big deal for us as the tickets were free, and we'll be seeing them in Florida next month anyway. headbang

So this is the message on Mohegan's website at this very moment:

Please be advised that the Bon Jovi concert scheduled for Saturday, February 9th at 8:00pm will be going on as regularly scheduled. Please continue to check back often for the latest updates.

And this is the tweet sent out from the band an hour ago:

TONIGHT'S BON JOVI CONCERT AT MOHEGAN SUN ARENA IN UNCASVILLE, CT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2013.

So nice of the casino to not inform ticketholders until after many of them probably risk their lives to get to the casino. No ulterior motive there, right? hrmph

The LIE was like a fucking parking lot. Forklifts had to be used to get some cars out. WTF were these folks thinking? One dude spent the night in his car. A woman had to be carried from her car to a rescue vehicle because she was wearing slippers - that was real bright.

People lose all common sense in an emergency. Gov. Cuomo was pretty pissed about so many choosing to drive.

No different than the folks who ignored all the warnings about Sandy, then tried to drive in the middle of it.

Two years ago when we had massive snowfall over a one-month period of time, I couldn't believe the town actually brought in snow from other areas and dumped it on my property. It was at that time I first learned that towns technically own the first 11 feet of property in everyone's yard, and therefore can dump anything they want on it. I'm hoping that doesn't happen again, because like you said I don't want to be worrying about my basement taking on water.
