eek Wow... you must have lived on a farm!

Your mom musta cussed you out over the gator! lol mushy

eek If not a farm, then I REALLY need to hear how she managed to have a BULL.

I loved my Bull. When guys would ask me on a date I would point to the pin and tell them that if

they could ride him for at least 8 seconds I would go on the date.

My grandma sold him to some company after we decided to move, I was so sad!

Cat caught sneaking saw, phone into Brazil prison

RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) - A cat carrying a saw and a mobile phone was "detained" as it entered a prison gate in northeast Brazil, Brazilian media reported on Saturday.

Prison guards were surprised when they saw a white cat crossing the main gate of the prison, its body wrapped with tape. A closer look showed the feline also carried drills, an earphone, a memory card, batteries and a phone charger.

All 263 detainees in the prison of Arapiraca, a city of 215,000 people in the state of Alagoas, are considered suspect in the plot, which is being investigated by local police.

"It's tough to find out who's responsible for the action as the cat doesn't speak," a prison spokesperson told local paper Estado de S.Paulo.

The cat was taken to an animal disease center to receive medical care.

The incident took place on New Year's day but was first reported by national media on Saturday.

I like cats AND dogs, but I am more of a cat person. I love cats, and cats love me. It´s true. lol

However, I don´t have a cat here. But I do have two fishtanks, one with shell dwellers ( neolamprologus multifasciatus), and one with a bunch of all kinds of fish.

Definately a cat person. They represent peace, serenity and spirituality to me. I like dogs but they tend to be a bit too loud for me plus you don't have to worry about someone dragging you into court, suing you for thousands of dollars because your cat mauled you or ate your dog.

But, what I really love most about cats is you have to work really hard to earn their trust and respect. Unlike most dogs, they just don't take everything at face value.

right now we have

1 german shepherd dog who is my baby mushy he is 10 years old

1 german tabby cat he is 16 years old

1 dsh tabby cat she is about 1 1/2 and getting FAT lol

1 large Oscar and a Jack London and several algae eaters in a 44 gallon tank

I was raised with dogs and got my first cat at 18, I have had at least one cat my entire adult life, my boy cat was supposed to be the last but my husband fell in love and so we brought the babygirl home. We probably won't get another dog after my big boy goes. I want to travel more and it's just too hard with a dog.

^^^vacations are a drawback to having a pet...hotels/resorts that accept pets are few, and if you leave them in a pet motel, it's almost as expensive as your OWN hotel!!!!

dogs are EXPENSIVE, DEMANDING and SMELLY, and in some cases, DANGEROUS

cats are EXPENSIVE, WEIRD and SMELLY

so...birds, basically; they act like animals while at the same time being opened to (moderate) socialization with humans, and are CHEAP, INDEPENDENT and GORGEOUS

Birds can be VERY expensive - especially the ones smuggled in, they also release a dander that is bad for people with breathing problems I believe.

They're good grilled with a teriyake marinade though. nod

I heart my 2 doggies!!!

I have a 4.5 year old mini schnauzer x toy poodle and last march got a new puppy who is 3/4 toy poodle, 1/4 Labrador - she is a year old and the 2 of them fell in love and are inseparable eek an outcome that was well beyond our expectations (we were happy if they tolerated each other!)

I'm a dog person by choice, but I also love cats.

The last dog I had lived in about ten different places over the 15 years of his life. Some of them were not suited to his size or disposition, and more than once he had to live with a non-'family member' until my situation changed. When he passed I decided I'll never have another dog until I know I'm going to be staying in one place for a looooong time.

In the interim, I kept the cat who lived the aforementioned dog until he died, then figured I'd just go petless for a while. Unfortunately I got stuck with this damn guinea pig that was a major drain on my positive vibes. I too exceptionally good care of that thing, because I think that's our responsibility with pets. Plus, I had rescued her from someone who wasn't taking care of her, so I thought she deserved an extra good rest of her life. Damn thing lived forever and never did anything for me other than cost money. She hated people. ALL people. lol I thought for SURE that would be the last pet I had for MANY YEARS. Nah.

My sister's cat had kittens and I ended up with two of them. They're cool. Best pets I've ever had. Probably because I've spent more time with them and taken better care of them than any creatures I've cohabitated with in the past.

Had a fish tank, got rid of that. Too much unrewarding work.

Oh, and I'll take some new pics in the next few days. I don't have any really recent ones and they're full grown now.

Edit: pics, yeah.
