TV ONE's: R&B DIVA'S LA (Spinoff) Cast

90′s Divas Chante Moore, Kelly Price, and Blu Cantrell are cast members of R&B Divas L.A. I don’t know, I think I am feeling this.

The original show was surprisingly pleasant to watch, so with this new line up sounding as interesting as it does, I'll give it a watch or two. That dang Blu Cantrell can sing her face off, seems like she dropped off the face of the earth after she did Playboy---which was a shame with so many lesser singers coming up into mainstream popularity after her. Chante Moore I've always liked; she must be reppin' for the grown and sophisticated crowd lol

I don't usually dig these type of reality shows but if Chante is joining the cast, I may have to tune in.

One of the problems I had with the original show is, besides Faith Evans, I had never heard of the rest of the cast.

She appeared in Black Tail, magazine. She changed her mind about appearing in "Playboy".

She's been guest at so many Playboy events in LA i thought she did that pictoral for them! But from the looks of that Black Tail cover...yikes! Maybe she should have done Playboy instead; I just can't with the tagline they gave her on the magazine cover...I just can't lol

If I'm not mistaken, this cover was done years ago. She was still a teen, (over 18, but still a teen). As for those playboy pics, she did do some "test pics" but, after she saw them she decided not to go further.

Yeah this cover was done after she hit on the r&b scene. The photos that were

originally released in the magazine didn't even feature her on the cover and

she went by the name Jazmand.

yah...those test pics are online. I only saw one but didn't look that bad. She's actually a pretty lady that could have done well working with Playboy (you know, the route where the person is a former Playmate, or has posed for the magazine and then goes on to become game show regular/ B tv-show actress, releases 5 albums then continue to build a commercial brand from there, ect. I call it the Barbi Benton Effect)... anyway she's such a great singer I was always surprised she didn't go farther with even just her music alone. I always liked the fact that she was young, but could sang like a 50 year old jazz mama lol I like the texture and color of her voice; she sounds so seasoned and mature.

I'll watch for Chante'. Maybe we'll get some insight about what went down between her and Kadeem (not that it is any of our business). Anyways, I love Chante'. Hopefully she'll go back to making super romantic music like her first two albums.

Thank You San Alejo for getting rid of my enemies. :-0

I remember when her cd " A Love Supreme" came out I think I wore that sucker out: the song "Old Skool Lovin'" used to be my cut, and she did such a lovely rendition of the Denice Williams song "Free" music

I'm actually wondering right now if I have that in my iTunes hmmm ...I might need to pull this one out tonight martini

I loved the way she enhanced "Free" by slipping into the Commodores "Sail On" near the end of the song. That was absolutely brilliant!music
