Him and Bill were of the same era though. Paul Mooney and Jim Brown (two of his closest friends) used to try and help in all the time till Jim finally got to him I believe around the time he set himself on fire.

But with Rich, unlike Katt, he was never goin' off the deep end by confronting others whether it be fellow comics with Katt or store employee's or fans/hecklers in the crowd. The only time he did something that involved another person is when he shot his car up with his ex-wife.

You'd never see him in a beef with his peers like say, Stu Gilliam or Flip Wilson like Katt has been involved in. Not sure if he ever used to no show dates or have meltdown's on stage (besides that one night when he found himself after tryin to be Bill Cosby for a few years.)

Richard made sure whatever he did, it was just gonna effect himself and not get involved with others.

And the one thing about Richard was he was always open about whatever problems he had. He admitted more than a few times in his comedy routines about his drug addiction. Katt though has been in constant denial.

Very true.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

i hope someone is not enhancing katt's marijuana with "bath salts." katt is getting more and more erratic in has actions.

i mean whomever the someones that are getting katt's drugs to him know what they are doing. i yes i know, katt is responsible for bending his elbow to partake, but someone is killing this guy with right in front of everyone. i so wish the suppliers to katt would get exposed/busted/arrested.

Right...but my point in bringing that up was to say that if Bill didn't reach out to Richard back in the day why in the world would he reach out to Katt Williams? Especially being that, talent wise, Katt Williams is small potatoes compared to Richard. Remember, Bill is the same man that called Eddie up and told him he need to tone down his shows. lol So one could only imagine what Bill really thinks of someone like Katt Williams.

Bill wasn't an elder statesman in comedy at that time, he was in his prime just like Richard.

With Bill, he just told Ed to stop all the cussing, he did the same with all those Def Jam comics also.

This is different than cussing and bad incidents that keep on happening. Ed wasn't gettin in trouble with the law week in and week out.

Bill Cosby has helped Mark Curry, when Mark was thinking about committing suicide.

An OG comic need to pull him to the side and let him know what's up. Or has he pissed off too many comics for them to even do so? OG comic John Witherspoon is currently on tour with him, I wonder if John can even get through to him?

From what Eddie said, Bill's mentoring was less animated than the one shown on Raw. Bill was probably "man you don't have to cuss, you can talk the same stuff without it" and Eddie felt he couldn't do it without it. The Richard part of the skit was made up, I heard.

I know that. No one is contesting this fact and it doesn't matter if he was in his prime like Richard or from the old school, the question that was asked was if Bill ever reached out to Richard, which probably didn't happen.

I never said Eddie was involved with legal trouble. I think you are missing what I'm simply saying here, which is we all know how Bill Cosby rolls.

If Bill did help Mark, then kudos to him. That was a great gesture and it speaks volumes. There must be something that he respects in Mark to have helped him. As for Katt, it's obvious that he's burned many bridges with his peers...so one can only imagine if there is any respect for Katt at all from Mr. Cosby's perspective.

Whether or not an OG comic pulls Katt to the side or not, as I stated before, nothing is going to change with Katt until he owns up to his behavior and WANTS to change for the better.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

nod I believe that too. One thing about the comics back in the day, they didn't do videos ranting and raving and disrespecting each other for all of the media and the public to see. They may have disagreed with presentation, material or delivery of the other, but at the end of the day, there was respect.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Michael Colyar

Tommy Davidson

Martin Lawrence

I know those guys dealt with drug use and got help before it was too late. I always wondered in they indulged in drugs together? Martin and Tommy are real close friends, coming from the same projects area in DC. When they moved to LA, Colyar was around. Colyar has worked with both Martin and Davidson.

I found them when I was looking for a pic I saw of Katt and his stable of women who follow him around like homeless puppies. But that pic seems to be gone from the net and only wifey pops up everywhere.

With all the negative press and ongoing legal issues that follow the comedian, Eboni explains how foul play is funneled from the inside out. Katt Williams slaps target employee: Attack caught on camera

Funnyman, Kat Williams slapped a Target employee last Sunday in Yolo County, after an awkward police chase by California Highway Patrol capitol officers. The "Scary Movie 5" and "Tink Tink" comedian-turned actor's bizarre attack was caught on tape.

TMZ obtained footage of the -- as staff writers put it -- face-to-hand-contact in a Dec. 2 celebrity news report. Allegedly, it is the comedian or his doppelganger on the store's cameras.

Before the Kat Williams slap of the Target worker took place, the "Friday After Next" star allegedly had an earlier run-in with nearby law enforcement.

Williams, according to Reuters was eyed by a CHP officer on Sacramento capitol grounds, riding a three-wheeled Can-Am motorcycle on the sidewalk. When approached by officers, Kat allegedly fled, sparking a chase by officers. However, it was called off due to safety concerns for pedestrians.

A short time later, the troubled comedian walked into a local Target, got into an argument with a retail cashier and attacked him.

Kat Williams slapped the Target worker after what appeared to be a brief exchange of words. And here's where it gets stranger by the minute: Williams stood by while the employee called police. Moments later, Williams is seen checking out though another cashier's line, while riding a motorized courtesy wheelchair.

The very talented comic is known for having a short fuse; he's been involved in several alleged assault cases in the past. In November, Williams was sued by audience members at one of his shows for allegedly taking off his clothes to fight, as well as cutting the performance short.

Another lawsuit claims Kat assaulted a female ex-assistant in his house. And finally, he was arrested weeks ago for allegedly fighting in an Oakland club.

Kat Williams' slap of the Target employee and his bizarre sidewalk chase did not land him in jail as of yet. However, police are still investigating both matters, which could likely be referred to prosecutors.

Do you get the feeling this is all part of a funny documentary and we all are Punk'd?

Katt Williams
Arrested
After Bar Fight [Updated]
Exclusive Details

8:46 AM PT --
Katt has been bailed out of jail ... thanks to Suge Knight who foot the bill.

A rep for Suge tells TMZ ... Williams was bailed out early this morning. The rep tells us Suge is Katt's tour manager.

0314_divider_graphic
Katt Williams
was arrested on Sunday following a bar fight in Seattle ... during which he allegedly threatened people with a pool cue, this according to Seattle police.

According to police, Williams "brandished a pool cue at a bar manager and refused to leave the business" and later followed a family outside of the bar where he threw a cigarette at a woman as she got into her car, hitting her in the eye.

Police say Williams also threw a rock at the car.

Williams was booked into King County Jail at 6:42 PM PT for investigation of harassment, assault and obstructing police. He was released early Monday morning.

The incident is the latest in a string of bizarre behavior from Williams ... who last week was caught on video in Sacramento slapping a Target employee in the face.

this guy ^^^^^^ imo is a soul sucking piece of trash in not demanding or setting up an intervention for katt williams. especially since he's on a managerial level for Mr. K. Williams.

suge "deathrow" knight reminds me of a vulture waiting to pick through the bones of a corpse/cadavir. the bones being the monetary increase of any and all of katt's recordings (if) after katt dies. seems to me he's definently waiting to "wet his beak."

I think Katt's doomed one way or another. He'd probably only make headlines for getting into scuffles, having breakdowns on tour, exhibiting bizarre behavior inhabited by drugs and mental distress and will never come back to his so-called "glory years". It's like Katt's crying out for help or he just don't care and WANTS to die. He reminds me of Mike Tyson pre-rehab/late-era boxing days when Mike kept getting in the news for any kind of mishap in and out of the ring until he married, got sober and discovered vegan life as well as kinda reinvented himself in the public eye. I know most comedians have real personal problems but it seems Katt really is breaking down more than I know. Even more so than Martin.

Look at how aged and tired Katt looks. As soon as I started seeing Suge Knight's name in the same sentence as his, I knew things would not be looking good for him. The dude is a bloodsucker. At this point even if there were anyone who wanted to try and help Katt Williams they certainly wouldn't be able to get past Suge Knight's big, vampire ass disbelief

Apparently there's another reason for why he was a no-show Thursday in Seattle according to this link:

http://blogs.laweekly.com...t_tour.php

Apparently, Katt's Hummer had broken down and his assistant came with another Hummer. Katt then proceeded to hit his damaged Hummer with the replacement Hummer. Another source says another reason for Katt's outrage in Oakland had to do with his Bentley being stolen before he made it to his show.
