Eddie & his wifey Paigne in Beverly Hills on Nov 13.

So I guess he did cancel his engagement to his 12 year old girlfriend tv hostess Rocsi Diaz. Dang, that was just a couple moths ago the wedding bells were ringing for those two. Between that and the Tracey Edmond wedding fiasco, Eddie's got his runaway groom thing going on these days, getting to the altar about every 11 months on average lol

Is it wrong of me to wish he would have stayed with Tracey in the hopes of his body of work improving from what it's been in the last years lurking ? lol

That was a great show. (edited 2 death though)

Observations:

1. Eddie is still underrated in my view

2. Major influence 2 todays comedians

3. The same folks that were around back in the day.....are still around Eddie.

4. Where was Paul Moonie and Robert Townsend?

5. His woman is quite FINE.

I wondered where Robert was too. Martin made a joke about him and Rock and Arsenio hada ()come on man) look on their faces. You think they had a falling out? Keenen and him are still real cool. Mooney, I bet Spike TV was afrad of him and I assume he would have talked bad about half the people who were their like Brand, and Eddie new girl.

So I finally watched this last night....IMO the best parts were:

1) Hands down, when Eddie got on stage with Stevie Wonder. Hilarious!!!! And Stevie has never sounded better by the way. That man is a living legend. nod

2) Arsenio Hall. He's such a great speaker and he had me dying laughing as well. Loved when he challenged Eddie to get on stage and do some standup. It was disappointing that Eddie declined, but not surprising. It really would had been something to see them two tap dance. lol At one point, I thought Arsenio was going to break out into that preacher role from "Coming to America". lol

3) Chris Rock. What can I say? The man is hilarious.

4) Brett Radner. Putting on the headphones and singing "Party All Time"....spit Hil-fucking-larious!!!! hammer All that was missing was Rick James.

5) Martin Lawrence. I have to admit, it was really great seeing him. He looks like he's healthy and doing good, so kudos to him for showing up and giving gratitude.

6) Samuel L. Jackson. "Motherfucker!!!!" lol

7) Charlie Murphy. It was great seeing him as well. I see that they edited his speech too.

8) Keenan Ivory Wayans. I think they heavily edited his speech, but what he said was nice nonetheless. Wish he would had made me laugh a bit more...like I knew he could have...but then again, it wasn't about me. lol Man looks flawless though and hasn't aged a bit. love

Cons:

1) As folks have already mentioned on here, umm what was the point of Russell Brand even being let on stage?

2) Tyler Perry. What he said was nice but again, wtf? I think I would have expected Wayne Brady to had been invited on stage before both Brand and Perry. shrug Just sayin'.

Other than that, it was a pretty good tribute show.

Why are you rolling your eyes?

It's a fair enough question.

You keep mentioning that you were actually there (which was understood the first time you said it), so I thought why not ask the obvious? How did you get in?

Did u notice how all of the brothers suits were tailored? See how they "fit"?

That is how grown men should were their clothes....not this tight 2 sizes 2 small nonsense going around like that Denzel G.Q. cover last month.

You mean this suit?

Any suit fitting bigger than this looks really tacky and outdated. Too many men wear suits that look like it should be on their much bigger dad.

I love that suit!

The tribute which i attended was very well put together & very classy. Stevie sung two songs to him & brought Eddie on stage. Every comedian told personal untold stories about Eddie & how he discovered them & is responsible for all the new comedians out today. Eddie deserved this honor. It should be done while a person is still alive & looks still as good and ageless as Eddie..

I remembered when I worked in "DreamGirls" & observed how much work he put in that role. He deserved an Oscar for that role. I don't blame him for walking out.Now u know how much U are appreciated Eddie...

woot! neat! glad you were able to attend.
