Overhere it's been pretty horrible
I've hired handy men.
- One did a bad job and left after I paid him. Leaving me broke and without heating/gas.
- One spend a lot of time for just a minor thing and screwed up most things he had to do. Also, he thought he knew better than me. Only if he had listened to me...Costed me a lot of money, energy and irritation.
-One is doing sort of okay. Very nice guy, but he only works for a few hours, then he leaves again. He doesn't work very precise, however, for the rough things does a good job. His girlfriend also came with him a few days, and she was a great help with sorting my stuff out and cleaning.
And yes, I'm glad they don't stay. But they also convinced me that it's better to hire a handy woman than a handy man. And that is exactly what I'm going to do; I'm going to look for a handy woman to hire. She will get things done and fix my problems, in stead of multiplying them. I'm sorry, but in general it seems guys are just not very good at getting things done.
