RGIII is the muthaphucking TRUTH. That play he made on 4th & 10 was ridiculous. He will be a thorn in the Giants side for the next 10 years.

Finally the steelers close out a game on the road. Steelers defense did

a good job against AJ Green and the Bengals offense holding them to

183 total yards. The steelers defense better have on their track shoes

for RG3 next week.

The Jets playcalling on that drive after McCourty's fumble shows you what they think of Sanchez. First down they bring in Tebow for a two-yard run???? WTF????? Sanchez was making plays - let him try to get in the endzone and win the game, damn. Playing for a FG against Brady was foolish. Poor job by the coaching staff - they should have taken a page from what the Giants did in the final minutes of SBXLII.

All I can say after Giants/Cowboys is......WHEW! Game shouldn't have been that close, but the defense held on. Refs made the right call on Bryant's non-TD. NY lucked out there - WTF was the secondary doing?

Up next for the Giants - Big Ben.

I believe in Mendy! I believe in Mendy! Mendy has the speed that Dwyer doesn't.

I like Dwyer now because he seems to get it now. Those runs you see Dwyer break

away on Mendenhall takes those to the house. I also say Mendy fits perfectly in

Todd Haley's scheme as a receiver out of the backfield. We have a tall task next

week in NY. I sure hope Ryan Clark will be available for this game. You don't want

to go against Eli and his receivers with both of your starting safeties down.

But Mendenhall nevers seems to break away like Dwyer does. Dwyer brings a running game, Mendenhall has been with the Steelers for years now and hasn't really done much. If Mendenhall does have a 100+ yard game is because he had 30+ attemps.

eek

Well this is only Mendy's fifth season with the club. He was injured his first season

as a backup. His first two seasons as a starter he gained well over 1000 yds and

he probably helped save our season a couple of seasons ago when Big Ben was

suspended for the first four games as we became more run heavy over that period.

His only problem now is health but so is Redman. Every steeler fan with a short memory

was claiming he was better than Mendenhall but he was virtually useless in our first

two games and now he has nagging injuries. I like Dwyer too but i think fans should

be careful what they wish for before shipping Mendenhall off. They both would complement each other well.

By the way Chris Rainey is waay overrated by fans. I'm not impressed at all.

Looks like a fast car but runs like a moped. He's more shifty than fast.

^^^^^^Yes I know all that, but I'm still not impressesed by Mendenhall. We would have won the superbowl if Mendenhall did not fumble on that drive in which the Steelers could have taken the lead. What has every one been saying about the Steelers offense for the last few years, where's the running game???? Who's been the starter the last few years, Mendenhall. When Ben was out for those games it was the Defense that helped the Steelers and not Mendenhall. Yes I know he has 1000 yards season but hey it's 16 games. You don't even have to average 100 yard games. Mendenhall can't break through the line like Dwyer can. Trust me we can survive without Mendenhall, Steelers are winning without him now. I like Rainey. He can't break through like Dwyer but I have a feeling Rainey will get a 80 yard touchdown run.

Oh my god Kpowers you blaming the Super Bowl loss on Mendenhall. lol

We can point to a number of things like our secondary(William Gay getting exposed

by Green Bay's 3rd receiver Jordy Nelson). Chris Kemeouteau missing the block

that Big Ben got his arm's hit and it being intercepted for a td spotting Green Bay

a 14-0 lead. Bruce Arians and Big Ben forcing passes to a covered Mike Wallace

particularly on the last drive that could have one the Super Bowl while Hines Ward

was sitting open in the middle of the field. I get it you don't like Mendenhall but

we definitely don't win that game against Philly without him. Our offense struggled

all game long there with the exception of Mendy and Antonio Brown coming on late.

I like the problem we have in the backfield with Mendy, Dwyer, and Redman and i

actually like Dwyer a little better than Redman. My only problem is when all these

guys are healthy who do you make inactive. They did so with Dwyer in the Tennessee

game and it cost us when Redman and Mendy got hurt. Baron Batch missed a cut on

the right side of the line that could have won the game for us and i don't think Rainey

or Batch should be taking more carries from the other three at this point in their

careers. It was hard for Mendy to break through the line when our line can't block

a tackling dummy. How often the running backs got hit at the line of scrimmage

last season.

What the Steelers have been missing in recent years is a power runner the likes of Harris, Bettis, and Bleier who formed the cornerstone of the Steeler running game during their tenure.

The closest we have come was Heinz Ward but even he wasn't quite a work-horse in the Steeler tradition.

I still think that Mendenhalll is a keeper though.

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. Ward has come closer to a power runner than any Steeler RB in recent years and he's supposed to be a WR.

Not that I'm complaining about Ward, thank God for him, it's just that we need that role filled by a bona fide RB to have a proper Steeler running game and we haven't had that.

Mark Sanchez definitely needs a change of scenery. He's in a bad situation in NY. He hasn't helped his cause with his lousy play, but the Jets front office/coaching staff did a poor job of replacing the core players Sanchez had his first two years. It's obvious the organization has lost faith in him and it started with the addition of the Messiah. Remember Rex saying the Jets were going to do things with Tebow that other teams would have to scheme for? Well where is it coach?

Jets are a fucking circus.

What I'm saying is that the Steelers were playing sloopy football then finally started clicking. On the last drive in which the Steelers could taken the lead Mendenhall fumbles. Sorry I know you love Mendenhall and as of a Steeler fan I wish he was a threat but he's not. He has no vision on the field. Barry Sanders played on a crapppy team and was a bad ass.

Pittsburgh had Green Bay reeling on that final drive. I have no doubt they would have scored if Mendenhall didn't fuck up. Damn right that loss is on him.

Big key for the Giants winning Sunday - put heat on the Steeler o-line. Smack Big Ben around like they did when they beat Pittsburgh in 2008. They would have met the Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII if that a-hole didn't shoot himself.
