hug I'm sorry to hear that. You should always look up online businesses through the BBB first before you buy things. It's very easy to get scammed with cheap-ass prices on some of these sites nod....

I thought I'd been scammed last year, I bought 2 perfumes on a fragrance site with a poor reputation (I found out LATER doh! ) and luckily paid with PayPal. They said my order would take 2 weeks to arrive. I opened a dispute 45 days later and got my money back since the fragrance site didn't bother replying to my emails.

3 months after I got my money back the perfumes arrived :falloff:

:nutty:

Today they sent me an advertising email mentioning those 2 perfumes in the subject line lurking

Turns out they came via third party courier on a container ship because I'd chosen the free shipping option, well that's my theory. They probably did go to Austria for the summer first sun

The whole point of using pre-paid credit cards is to allow everyone the opportunity to shop online, even if they don't possess a traditional credit card. No scheme about it, really. They're actually quite handy when traveling as well, and are a wonderful replacement for traveler's checks when you want to stringently stick a budget. For work I use them all the time to shop for styling jobs instead of my traditional credit cards- and I like how it keeps things nice and tidy, with purchases all on one receipt ... and in all sincerity- it's easier to handle and less stressy than having oodles of cash in an envelope at the bottom of my purse (which is the way it's been done for decades). They're pretty handy invention and I rather like them.

No m'am.

Just curious, but were you going for a European designer bag? Because they don't approve their merchandise to be sold by these alleged wholesalers and retailers. Ever. If it's a private individual selling a bag they just happen to have in their possession, or a co-signment shop selling a used bag, that's one thing; but outside of their own showrooms and select department stores retailers don't have access nor license to sell bags from European designers, period. In fact, many design houses still actually burn their surplus inventory at the end of each season to ensure that 1. it never makes it to the streets at a low sale value, thus maintaining the luxury brand's sense of exclusivity and 2. to combat against copyright infringement from the fake makers. So when you see all those lovely LV and Hermes bags online for a discounted price that's too good to be true, know point-blank-period that they're fake. coffee

I never make purchases from a website unless it's a reputable one. If it's a site I've never heard of or ordered from, I do a lot of research to make sure they are legit. The only way I can see myself getting scammed online is thru ebay, but, since I only buy CDs and DVDs on ebay, I don't see much of a chance of that happening.

There has been restrictions on ebay and paypal, since people have been reporting scams, especially with designer bags. Payments to the seller are put on hold for an certain amount of time.

That's terrible. But yes, the prepaid card is the way to go, seems safer.

Burn that prepaid card up, those scammers might be real clever and try to steal more from you. We all get tripped up once in a lifetime, sorry for the inconvenience.

I guess you'll have to use it only when the people around you aren't sophisticated enough to tell the difference.

When you hang out with the bougie folks, then you should bust out the real one.

$70.00? If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Years ago my crazy cousin got into a battle with an Ebay seller, selling Gucci sunglasses. My relative bought these "Gucci sunglasses" for $40.00...they weren't have bad looking. They weren't the real deal so sista girl went off. lol I was like girl get a grip did you actually think someone was going to sale the real deal Gucci for 40 bucks? The seller could have sold you some fakes for a premium price, that would've been a ripp.

Do they have a Loehmann's store out by where you live? If so, you can get all the designer fashions and accessories to your heart's content for anywhere from %40-%70 percent off...and the designer glasses might not run you $40, but you can easily get ahold of Dior, Gucci, and Fendi for $60-$70

Perfectly legit looking site, merchandise looks solid, plenty of positive customer reviews, but the item will be shipped from China; don't buy it! lol
