Any cravings right now?

I'm not pregnant, just that time of month

I want something with rich tomato sauce. A really good pizza, like a Mexican pizza or one with asparagus and goat cheese.

For some reason I hold onto the archaic tradition of serving fish/seafood on Fridays in this house... and for tonight, I'm having fantasies of mussels steamed in a wine-tomato broth with fresh herbs and crusty bread right about now:

Really good, authentic, Mexican food.

drool

Not really a "craving" but I've been wanting to get some for a while.

I'm getting some this weekend, but it's nothing like what's in the US

Hmmmm, I just bought a paella pan today & tonight made a scrumptious chicken & shellfish paelella!! Lots & lots of mussels! Enjoyed my mega homemade paella with a chilled New Zealand white, Wairau Cove Marlborough, Sauvinging Blanc. It was simply a taste sensation!

It's early morning and I've already got my heart set on Indian food today! When I picked up my mussels for last night's dinner I also picked up some beef, so today's big meal will be:

Beef Rogan Josh

and Aloo Tikki

Fuck. Pretty much anything. I've been on a strict diet for three weeks and I suspect I'll have to be on it for quite a while still.

Girl, you just smoosh up some taters (3-4), mix with bread crumbs, peas, chopped cilantro, chopped mild green chile peppers (and I add a bit of sauteed onion into my mix although I don't know if that's at all "authentic" lol ) Season with salt, curry powder, and garam masala powder to taste. Pat those babies down, and fry 'em in the pan until golden brown on each side, et voila- you have arrived in Aloo Tikki-ville foodnow

With just 4 small small.medium potatoes I had 8 large patties, so I passed out a few to the neighbors standing outside my front door while old dude was fixing my bike tonight- they said the patties tasted pretty damned alright. you should go for it---that was one of the easier Indian treats to make..I usually get so out of sorts trying to make Indian food because you need so many damned spices. lol

It's one of those "seedy" joints where all the Mexican immigrants eat...so you can bet it's DAMN GOOD!
