The new "Black Pack"?

In the 1980s' the Black Pack was a group of up and coming comics formed by Eddie Murphy. This group included Eddie, Arsenio Hall, Robert Townsend, Paul Mooney and Keenen and Damon Wayans.

Well, there seems to be a new group of comics goin on tour calling the show "The Black Pack" also.

No offense to Faizon Love, Joe Clair and Tony Roberts but they should have done their comedy homework and not used that name.

Dang, those mustaches were in back then weren't they? They were like a relic from the Billy Dee Williams era or somethin' lol

I don't know who any of these new dudes are boxed I'll look 'em up on youtube though. Still, you're right, they should have done their homework before they were so bold as to try on that moniker hammer

Faizon Love is pretty well known, he's even in a new cell phone comercial but still, no excuse.

The new Black Pack?

More like the new Crack Pack. They won't ever measure up to Eddie, Robert, Keenen, Paul and Arsenio. And that's real talk.

I have a "black pack"
but it's no where near the same thing as what is being discussed in this thread.

To me, they don't look right without the 'staches. Keenan still looks great, but I wish hope and pray Arsenio grows his mustache back because to me, he doesn't look right without it. IMO.

Remember when Eddie briefly had his cut off? lol I'm guessing his pride got the best of him because he was called all sorts of "old man" this and that, that he eventually copped the 'stache again. His 'stache practically made his career, he couldn't part from it just like Richard eventually couldn't part from his (though he tried). lol

Arsenio looks old as hell without his 'stache. That's why I wish he would grow it back. The whole bald on the head and no stache look is just sick I see that he has grown a little hair back so it makes him look a little bit more normal, but he NEEDS that MUSTACHE!!!! hammer

I agree. If folks didn't know any better, they would think he was Orlando Jones from Mad TV or something. lol

Billy Dee back in his day was The Kang of the 'stache. He tried that mess of shaving it off and ended up looking like a sickly duck without feathers, too.

Note to mustached brothas in the Hollywood royalty circles: leave your damned mustasche alone no no no! no no no! no no no!
