. They gave me some samples of the really expensive drops I will have to use after surgery. I started taking my Omega 3 and have been drinking lots of water.

Turned the ceiling fan off while I sleep, the dr said that is a major thing that dries your eyes out.

Doing all I can to have moist eyes by next Thursday.

I had mine done about 7 yrs ago and it was the best thing I have ever done. My vision is better than ever and I have had no issues what so ever. I did have to have two surgeries because my eyes were that bad, but now they are awesome!

Cool, good to know. I just had another consultation. My eyes are really dry due to allergies and being on Accutane many years ago. I will have to use drops for about 4 months and it may take a little longer to heal because they are so dry. I am having my surgery next Thursday at 11 am. Eeekkk! It is all scheduled now and I made the down payment, so I now have a week to think about it.

faint

I am excited for you!!!! You will be so glad you did! I will be thinking of you! hug hug hug hug

Thank you. I just keep reminding myself how great it will be to be able to see the moment I wake up. Even when it is 3 am and the small person is calling me, I won't be blurry eyed stumbling to his room blind.

lol

I will keep you posted on FB on Fri. I can't text or be on the computer until the day after the surgery, so they say.

In the words of the surgeon after he was done "Well, you survived".

Make sure to check on the doctor. There are cases where eye surgery made people's vision worse.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

So... how was it? I know it was a success, but I want details!! Was the initial recovery ok? Are you seeing well? Did you have to stop yourself from kissing the surgeon? (i did) lol Isn't it amazing!?!

I am seeing very well. Have had 2 post op check ups. 20/20 in each eye and 20/15 both eyes together. Still have a hit of the halo around lights but very pleased with how well everything went.

My surgeon was a complete asshole and if I ever need to go back in for anything I will pick someone else. He has done over 60,000 of these procedures and his bedside manners suck!

We have complained to the appropriate ppl. The rest of the staff was good. I go back in 3 weeks then 3 months then I am all done going there.

The dr that did pre op and post op is very good so I am pleased about that.

If I told you how much of a dick my surgeon was before, during and after, you would say FHOMG!

I am glad it is done and do wish I had done it sooner. It is great to wake up and see!

highfive

Oh I have to tell you Lisa, when he was prepping my eye with taping my eye lid then putting the metal clamp thing over my eye that scared me. The assistant just told me to breathe and think of something fun. I thought of us all having a great time in London drinking and dancing.

I was literally 5000 miles away in my mind. It helped!
