Do You Like Hospital Food?
I do not think this has ever been brought up here.
I hate, hate hospital food.
And you wonder why folks lose weight while they are in hospital for whatever. Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! REAL MUSIC by REAL MUSICIANS - Prince "I kind of wish there was a reason for Prince to make the site crash more" ~~ Ben |

Last time I was in the hospital they gave me wonderful sandwiches (I stayed a few days with my son in ICU for his asthma last year) The cookies and cakes were REALLY good also.

Absolutely horrible, bland, unsalted, "healthy" food. Bring me something fried. Andy is a four letter word.

I love the hospital food! You can fill in those tick-a-box forms and then they bring it to you in bed and you don't even have to make it!!!!! where else can I get boiled butterbeans with meatloaf, jelly and an apple!!! I'm the mistake you wanna make

Definitely not.
I STILL cannot eat orange jello because that's all they fed me when I was in the hospital almost 20 years ago. blech.

I actually liked it a lot the times that I've had to stay in the hospital but I don't know if it's because of having to fast before surgeries. By the time I finally got to eat, I was starving so I'd probably eat anything

Weird question. No one eats hospital food on purpose, unless they work at the hospital.
That said, the food at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center is pretty good.

I'll eat the fruits or desserts.

Just the breakfast
I threw up hospital lunch once, and shortly after, went to pee though it was coming out on and off, and a nurse who was listening at the door thought I was making myself throw up and thought I was anorexic....

I liked it. I also like airplane food. A lot of people complain about it but I think it's fine. But then i'm not a fussy eater at all - I think it's because my mother never made anything particularly nice when I was growing up

Last time I was ever at a hospital, I was seven and I loved the Jell-O I got.

Tonsillectomy? | |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I believe so but my memory's blurry but I think I did have to take my tonsils out or something.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
it was actually nice , much to my surprise
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I had my tonsils out when I was 24 and they gave me loads of Jelly and ice-cream
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Now that I think about it, I had some ice cream too to add to it. That day was a good day.

Popsicles were great to have when I was hospitalized for dehydration

Actually that is one of my worst fears.
Ofcourse, I should be worried about the condition that would lead up to a hospital stay. But that's not my fear. My biggest fear is that I have to eat hospital food. And that I'm to sick to go out to get the right ingredients from the rights shops and prepare it the way I prefer.
I know. It's a fear that shows I'm horrible spoiled in my little western bubble. For me it's real though. 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

yes depending on what it is..i'm waiting on breakfast right now man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
