You know, I am not Christian, not religious, and not a fan of TV preachers. And I expected to HATE Joel Osteen by instinct. But he is one of the few who does it right--with humor, in a positive and inclusive way, not constantly asking for money, and not creepily intoning the name "Jay-zuss" at every turn.

He's a genuinely good guy. You'd like him. If you ever come to Houston, let me know and I'll be happy to introduce you to him. You're right - they don't ever put the hard sell on for money. EVER.
