Andy Griffith's 'Goober', George Lindsay, dead at age 83!

http://www.huffingtonpost...90083.html

Not exactly a good role model for us white folk, but we loved the dummy, his goofy good nature and hateless charm. Goober, you will be missed.

RIP goobs.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

sad R.I.P.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw this was:

"Love Hurts.
Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

Even though I wasn't around when "The Andy Griffith Show" had its heyday, the show was still a part of my childhood watching it on TBS and Nick at Nite. May "Goober" RIP...

Wow. Didn't realize he was that old. I guess all the actors of our old

classic shows are aging fast and it's just hard to see since a lot of the

shows were a part of our childhood. R.I.P George Goober Lindsay

I think the only ones left are Opie, Andy and Gomer.

As unusual as it may seem (even to me), in honor of George Lindsay, I will admit that I used to have a crush on him when I was a little kid. May he rest in peace, he brought us a lot of laughs, and seemed to be a good person.
