Define "cornball." Silly? Sentimental? Just plain awful?

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Rocky IV might fit that category. But I haven't watched it for a long time.

Seems like Kurt Russell and Sly Stallone specialize in this genre

Well I could've used the word "corny" but I chose "cornball" instead. They both mean the same thing to me. I just chose the more colorful word.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Smokey in the bandit-that fits the bill! (I always thought if they rebooted it-they would use Matthew Mcconaughey and Sandra Bullock.)

Also
