That's why I stay away, not that I would be nice one day and rude the next, but to me it is what it is. Unless we bond on something, you're just an associate to me...

Right.

I'm actually real shy but once we do talk, I can be social like that but I was never that sociable. I always lived a loner's life... and I'm good with that. People are something else in this world.

I'm known to be shy as hell and real distant until you get to know me. Even then though, sometimes I can be all nice and hi to you one day, and the next day I'll walk by you and not even look your way. Some call it rude, but people who know me know that's how I am.

nod This is me as well. People have told me that I seemed standoffish at first glance. I actually find that quite amusing, especially how folks can judge when they don't even know me. Yes I am very quiet when I don't know you, but I'm still polite. I'm very observative at first, then if I see that the person is cool and would like to get to know them better then I'll put myself out there, that is if they don't come out and try to get to know me first. But if I find that you are fake, ignorant or a poser, then I remain in my quiet state because I already know that I don't want to get to know you. It's that simple.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

With me I'm either viewed as angry, got an attitude, standoffish or too serious. It doesn't bother me though, I just find it hilarious. But then when folks get to know me and they hear that loud laugh that I have, then they find that they were wrong.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

yeahthat x1000! I make horrible first impressions because I'm quiet at first and I've been told by really good friends that they didn't like me at first because they thought I was a bitch or they were intimidated by me. lol I can't fathom anyone being intimidated by me. So knowing that sometimes people are put off by me not being all talkative, I find myself going out of my way to make conversation, which makes me feel fake as hell. I hate that feeling.

Then don't do it. lol If it doesn't feel natural, then don't force it. I don't feel comfortable just coming out and creating a conversation with a person I don't know because it's just not me. Plain and simple. It used to bother me that people felt that way about me at first glance but after a while, I was just like fuck it. It's up to them to truly get to know me and find out the person I truly am for themselves. Other than that, if they think I'm stuck up, a bitch or got an attitude problem, then fuck'em. I could care less what others think about me. I know the person that I am and I love who I am, flaws and all.

Very much so. I spend most of my time alone and want to keep away from the "BS, drama and pretending" as much as possible. I don't want to have a huge number of friends that I don't really connect with. There have been periods when I haven't talked to anyone in weeks.

However, I seem to have quite good social skills. I talk a lot when I'm with people and it's not hard for me to be friendly to strangers. It's been a great advantage in my various jobs. I've always been quite puzzled over how easy it is for me to interact with people.

I've been called that by several people on several occasions.

I think I may walk a thin line between embracing the chance to meet people, respecting them and striving for the love of a functioning community, and between being a misanthrope who is put off by most people and quite intolerant of many people's stupidity.

I guess I'm not anti-social, I just need to be (left) alone often.

See, this is me. And that is what I hate about being a quiet person. People think just because you don't talk to them that you're rude. I think it's rude to judge someone you don't even know. Why call me rude when I've been polite to you this whole time?

Unless you get a couple of drinks in me - then I can be the life of the party.

But my natural state is quiet and reserved. And I hate talking to strangers.

I never find people who are quite with being rude. Infact a female friend's husband is very quite until he gets to know you. So, I normally tell him to STFU please ('Cuz he says nothing at the party and I mean nothing.) wave Oh, I'm the obnoxious loud one. (Not always-but when it's funny or not work related.)

I used to be very shy when I was younger. These days I am only quiet and a bit uncomfortble when I am in a larger group of people I don't know. Otherwise I usually talk a lot redface. But at the same time I am becoming more and more of a loner and I am rejecting inviations by friends all the time because I feel really sad these days and not in the mood to go out or meet people sigh.

You always gave a polite and nice impression when we met or talked on Skype. A lot nicer than in the messages we had exchanged before we met or here on the org in fact lol.
