I caught it on TV.

Had low expectations, and as a result (I guess) I enjoyed it more that I thought I would.

I wouldn't mind if they made the inevitable sequel (or trilogy?).

The Dirty Picture (2011). Great performances, especially from Vidya, nice songs, & it looks good too. 5/5

2/5 It's no joyluck club. I never got emotionally drawn in but I did watch it all the way to the end. And I got a bit of cultural history outside of that I could have cared less.

Captain America: The First Avenger -- 7/10.

It was okay. Overall, I would give it a 3 out of 5 which I think is an "I like it" according to Netflix. One thing that irritates me is the movie takes place in 1988 however they are shown listening to Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart" which wasn't released until the end of 1989.

A Better Life (2011) - a single father dedicates his everything trying to offer his son the life he's never had. 4/5

Rabbit Hole (2010) -- 8.5/10.

Great performances all around.

2.5/5 wasn't as moving to me as water, I guess in india this is very controversial, but as an american it wasn't anything new, I have to shrug and say, seen it before a dozen times. They have some beautiful hair though (not trying to be funny, they do). Earth's next.

I just finished watching "The Heavenly Kid" like an hour ago; first time I'd seen it again in years.

I always did like it so 4/5 stars.

Ikr. Over the years I've had person after person recommend this movie to me (all of them female) and I'm always like...*does the polite nod; never watches it*.

It was "Debbie Does Dallas II". It was pretty good. My favorite scene was the threesome with the lady and the two policemen.

I just saw this lately too. Not too terrible.

Margot At The Wedding -- 5/10. Good performances of terribly-drawn characters, all victims of an underwhelmning script.

2.5/5 I think I'm stuck on the idea that the daughter of a DNC chairman would have far more 'street' cred then to need that kind of help from a campaign press secretary she pretty much just met and then to be so fragile, and it seems her role is the pivotal point to the whole house of cards. Too many conveniences for me to really enjoy.

5/5. watched this again on blu-ray last night. The film still resonates with me. I've read that the Director's (Alfonso Cuaron) next film will be another Sci-Fi Film called Gravity starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock.

I watched "El Cantante" on DVD. LOVE IT! I Rate that Movie 10 Stars. Jennifer and Marc did a wonderful job portraying Hector Lavoe and his wife Nilda.

I read the book late last year and quite enjoyed it. I haven't made time to watch the movie yet, but I've heard it's pretty good - though I've also heard the inevitable complaints about omissions & story-line changes, but that's the nature of any adaptation I suppose.
