Early Eddie was really funny but then again, if I watched all that early stuff again today, I probably wouldn´t find it as funny as I did when I was a kid because some of the jokes are a bit homophobic or very vulgar.

I don´t know enough about Charlie except for what he did in Chappelle´s show. Other than that, I´ve never seen him do comedy before. I knew he was a rapper in the 1980s...I had his album and there was this song called "To Be Somebody´s Brother" on it. And he and his buddy had those Campagnolo caps on their heads.

Actually kind of a toss up. Charlie Murphy(along with the Wayans bros) wrote most of Eddies early material. When they left he wasn't nearly as funny. Check the credits on those standup tapes you got.

I've seen Charlie in live standup. While he is definitely funny, his comedic style greatly differs from his brother's. While he may have or have not written Eddie's early material, Eddie's delivery IMO is better than Charlie's.

I've never heard about this. I think Charlie helped him with some skits on SNL here and there (writing a few and even making a few head shots uncredited.) Charlie did write Vampire in Brookyn.

Keenen and Tobert did write for Eddie a lot. I actually think they ghost wrote Coming To America. That film is nothin like a Eddie Murphy film and looks like something the Wayans would do.

Charlie was in the Navy when Eddie started getting famous. So I doubt he wrote anything of Eddie's stand-up monologues.

Eddie is not only funnier but better looking.

That's because Tony Rock and Shawn Wayans can make me laugh more. Charlie is good when it comes to stories and Rick James though.

Eddaay is funnier. As far as Shawn Wayans goes i always felt he was the Tito Jackson

member compared to his brother Marlon. Marlon was just silly stupid and could draw

a laugh on command where as Shawn's comedy is simply just dry humor(borderline corny)imo.
