Workday shopping emergencies

Ever had one? I'm not talking just ducking out at lunchtime to buy a few things. I mean a bona fide emergency.

Like today...I had to run to Walmart at lunchtime to buy a new set of earbuds because the left side of my old ones died this morning and I couldn't face the daily baby carrot onslaught without iTunes. I actually bought a pair of noise cancelling ones. I have no idea whether they'll actually work, but I'm hoping I won't have to turn the music up quite so loud to drown out my co-workers. I usually leave work with a headache every day.

What have you bought?

Pantyhose tops the list...

pads/tampons, socks, panties (don't ask), pants, gloves, duct tape, flowers and condoms (yeah, not talkin' about that either).

Good girl! thumbs up!

I like to see people looking after their hearing.

If i'm having a shitty morning at work, i'll usually go out during my lunchbreak and buy stuff.

Today wasn't particularly shitty, but I still went out to buy some foundation. (Max Factor) Then I noticed that if I spent another £5 on Max Factor products, I could get a free 'beauty essentials Kit' Worth about £40. So I also brought some long-lasting lipstick.

woot! I haven't opened the box yet, so not quite sure what I got. lol

Man, these things are awesome! I've been able to turn the volume down - and still haven't heard a single carrot snap or munch. The sound seems a little muddy - but I don't even care.

Mid-day make-up shopping is good for the soul. nod

Shoes.

More than once I've worn boots into work for the cold and snow and forgot to bring my shoes along in my bag. So I promptly went out and bought a new pair.

I can relate. We do not want to wear snowboots with a cute outfit. hmph!
