Me thinks that the irony of Two and A Half Men was that many of the stories were supposedly based on Charlie's personal experiences...and in the end he seems to have bought into the conception of himself as the character on that show and the image it projected of a loveable charming cad who could get away with anything he chose to do with no real consequences. There, illusion ends and reality begins...

I know very little about the whole Sheen thing except for that he supposedly went off the deep end, he got fired from a show I never watched and there was a whole thing about "winning", but I tend to doubt most that goes down in Hollywood anymore.

I almost feel like most "messes" are carefuly calculated these days. Like when studios would arrange marriages just a very twisted flipside. Well adjusted happy go lucky celebs don't seem to get the same amount of airtime or coverage like in those days.
