I actually think it's the other way around and that they're insecure as hell. People who really think they're the bees knees have no problems laughing at themselves.
Ur smart!
In my experience its definitely both types. "...because no-one gets there alone." - "...I like the floor. It's the only thing that seems real." |

Oh, and let me just clear the air since I've been noted about another thread mentioning this one...this thread is no coincidence. It absolutely has been directly influenced by posts on the org in several different threads, especially recently.
Threads influence other threads on here all the time. That's the way it goes.
Like others have said time and time again when they see someone posting on their thread and they don't like what they have said - don't like it, don't read it. You can move along.

Self deprecating humor is one of the sexiest qualities in a person. It speaks so much about the kind of (good, imo) person they are.
There is nothing worse than someone that can not have a good laugh at themselves now and then and there is nothing more of a turn off than someone who takes everything so seriously and thinks they are too fucking cool for school.
Don't you think?
It depends on how you define self-deprecating humor. Its one thing to make a silly joke about yourself such as "look at my swollen feet, they look like two loaves of bread" and everybody laughs. Its another thing to put yourself down or let others put you down under the guise of being funny or making jokes . Sometimes those comments lack humor and just sound like pity or self-criticism. That can be quite annoying and a turn off. Of course, each person has to make that distinction for themselves and decide what is humorous and what is a joke made in bad taste. As for self-deprecating humor being sexy in general...eh...maybe if its done once in awhile but if that's a routine or schtick then no....not sexy at all. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

I had nothing to do with that thread....people were just messaging me about it since *I* got dragged into that one.
Mais je care pas.
That thread and recent snappy posts from a bunch of newer orgers in a few other threads inspired this thread. Totally. |
