At the risk of dragging puppet rights 20 years into the past Bert, Ernie and Dan have every right to stay in the closet and I respect that.

But it would be nice if they introduced a 2 mom or 2 dad family to the neighborhood.

I think Bert and Ernie would get along much better if they didn't live in each others pockets, I mean it's UNHEALTHY to be spending sooooo much time with just one person. I think they need to have other friends too. Maybe they could get another room-mate?

Every since the fallout about The Teletubbies (mostly the purple one, Tinky Winky!), I been trying to tell people for years that Bert & Ernie were already the first ever gay characters on a PBS children show. Until now, no one believe it.
