Peek inside Jada and Will Smith’s 25,000 sq ft home [img:$uid]http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL2084/9118410/23710928/397954999.jpg[/img:$uid] [img:$uid]http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL2084/9118410/23710928/397954868.jpg[/img:$uid] The magazine also caught this lovely family portrait of the Hollywood couple with their two rappin’ singing and actin’ kids Willow and Jaden as well as Will’s son Trey who is now 18 and likely fending off the cougars. Apparently the Smiths’ domestic odyssey began when Will was working with costar Gene Hackman filming the 1998 thriller Enemy of the State.
Uber stars Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith gave Architectural Digest an exclusive look inside their 25,000 square foot Adobe-styled home. The Smith’s luxury crib was designed by architect Stephen Samuelson, with interiors by Judith Lance. The custom furniture added an additional $250,000 to the cost of the unique private residence.
[img:$uid]http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL2084/9118410/23710928/397954898.jpg[/img:$uid] The living room includes a 1930s copper lantern from Downtown, columns wrapped in jute rope, a pair of ’60s Brazilian rosewood chairs (at left) from Noho Modern, custom-made lounge seating (at right) upholstered in a Rose Tarlow leather, wing chairs covered in kilims and leather, and a beige silk area rug by Hokanson. [img:$uid]http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL2084/9118410/23710928/397954902.jpg[/img:$uid] Always at one with nature, Will calls the lake gazebo his favorite spot: “Answers come to me out there,” he says. Will and Jada wanted a highly personal space to share with their children, Willow, Jaden, and Trey, Will’s son from his first marriage. “For Will and me this home was always a spiritual endeavor,” Jada says. “We’re very earthy, organic people. We wanted to create a family retreat, something made by hand and as natural as possible, something that ties back to the land.” [img:$uid]http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL2084/9118410/23710928/397954905.jpg[/img:$uid] The bedroom terrace has pendant lights by Tom Dixon from Twentieth Art and Design, drum tables by Studio JRM, and cushions covered in Donghia, Holly Hunt, and Perennials fabrics. “Everything needed to be done by hand,” Will says. “We wanted to feel the love and labor that went into every piece of this place.

I really prefer Sheryl Crow's place, linked on the same page
http://www.architecturaldigest.com/homes/homes/2011/03/good_vibrations_slideshow#slide=1
that's partly because I think the smiths are assclowns, and sheryl crow is nice.

Glad you like Sheryl Crow.... we'll have to contact those Smith's about their behavior. They should do better to gain your approval! Because your approval is what's most important! How dare they live life the way they want to!

Beautiful !!!... its upscale and its trickier to make a home done in that style look that way. That's what I call living it up in the desert.

It's a lake not a pond.
I kinda like the Osbourne house; I think it's the color schemes they use inside the house that I like the most, it looks really tranquil and airy :

It's awesome, but lately when I see huge lawns in places like New Mexico I just think it's wasteful
I guess I am still a hippie My Legacy

i love it. i'd probably love living there if i could ever get over the guilt of having so much more than i actually need or can use.
but, the words 'conspicuous consumption' spring to my mind when i look at the home, overall. i think it's because i'm a peasant through and through

Adobe might be my least liked style - I love Tudor best - but still, I think it's a beauty.

A little off topic, but I'm liking Jada's dress: lately I've been growing tired of everyone in the public eye running around in short little shimmy dresses that aren't remotely thinking about heading towards the neighborhood of a woman's knees. This dress is giving me that Diane Von Furstenburgish Grown Ass Woman vibe. I likes.

I agree that it wouldn't be my first choice of style, either, but that is definitely a beautiful home. I also like how it appears to be very open and airy. If I had the money and the space, regardless of style, that's how I'd build.

yeah it's awesome, and it looks comfy, not like a cold stuffy mansion My Legacy

I never get these walls that open to "blend" inside and outside. I like outside because it's not inside and inside because it's not outside. And I don't need to give an open invitation to every bug in the neigborhood to come live at my house.
Pretty tho. I like the interior more than the exterior.

They can probably afford a bug-tender, or somethin'. But actually, I think there's a ginormous piece of glass on that end that looks like it's completely open. Look at the picture on the cover, it has drapes. Maybe not, because that would be a big ass piece of glass (hey, they could afford it), but the rest of the house looks like it has big glass, too.
