Storage Hunters

http://www.trutv.com/vide...-find.html

boxed I am kind of hooked on these storage unit shows. Storage Wars/Storage Hunters/Auction Hunters... They find all kinds of weird things. It's kind of sad to see people lose eveything they own because they can't pay the storage fee, but I can't help it, I'm hooked.

Tonight the show on Storage Hunters was alternatively fascinating and creepy as hell. One unit was owned by a record producer and had gold records awarded to Slash in the 80s. Also an encased original art album cover for Appetite For Destruction...the cover that was scrapped. Supposedly there are only two in the world.

They said they couldn't say who owned another unit storage unit only that the guy had a huge hit TV show in the 80s. They opened it up and there was a hot pink mattress on the floor with meth pipes and needles nearby and one large cabinet. Everyone walked away disgusted but a guy and his wife got it for $10.

Well, I wish I knew who this guy was...inside the cabinet was a $5000 sex doll all beat to hell. Looked like it had broken arms and the neck was almost ripped off. Oh, yeah...and then there was the Nazi uniform, medal, and hats. eek One of the hats was real and turned out to be worth about $6000. WHO WAS THIS GUY???? Jan Michael Vincent???? Gary Coleman??? hmmm lol

Oh well, these shows are interesting to me. Sad yet interesting. (Better than Keeping Up With the Kards anyway) lol

I'd never seen this one either until last night. I watch the other ones too. This has got to be the weirdest yet. They also found someone's ashes in an urn.

I found a couple of links...hope they work.

Me too. I would love to do that. But knowing myself, if I found something to be really sentimental or precious I'd have to send it to the owner. I'm a softie. Sometimes I just can't believe the things people have in storage and just let go. Entire lives are in those lockers. sad
