"Hole in the Head: A Life Revealed"

hmph! neutral

“…and she told the other nurse, “Oh my God, I’ve given him too much!”

** for those of you with sensitivities to some visuals (or have small children around) the video shows graphic images of what happened to their heads towards the end

website: http://www.smithleonardproductions.com

- has great film synopsis and bio for Mr. Hardiman

click on the film's title under Portfolio on the left, and you'll see the links load under the video; it's in Flash -- and long -- otherwise I'd copy & paste for y'all

hmph!

Is there any legal action that can be taken on the part of the victims? Seems like it's really as bad as any Nazi war camp crimes (I haven't watched the film, just read the synopsis)

it takes about 50 years for

information to surfice concerning

atrosities committed on americans (mostly blacks)

by americans. people today still refuse

to believe these things are being done today

with our governments blessings.

the sad thing is

it's true, after one has been

used in such a way, being angry

about it is only hurtful to ones-self.

what about his parents? (I can't watch the trailer right now, I'm surrounded by kids)

I realise they were tricked to sign a permission form for this "treatment" but afterwards, were they also simply shamed into silence?

probably intimidated/threatened; this was the late 1920s/early 1930s.. as minorities, they probably had no real power to fight it or publicize it

~ and I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't tricked into signing other [allegedly] legally-binding documents

whut does one do?

mrs. ever's boys were given the syphs

viet nam fighters were given acid and other

deadly chemicals, crack was dropped off

in the ghettos. not to mention whut got

done to the 'poor' white kids.

people choose to say "it's their fault"

rather than understand whut america's

part in all this is.

some people really have no choice

in how they are handled in life.

and some of us always chose to

speak on it, only to be judged

militant trublemakers.

a lot of the time, by the time we hear about it, the statute of limitations has run out (if laws to cover it existed to begin with)..

or, the ppl that were wronged are dead/close to death ~ and it takes soo friggin' long to get to court on even simple things.. confused neutral

and the "little guy" (or gal) that are the victims don't often have the resources to fight

whole lot of factors working against getting justice... sad

Oh i realize they were in no position to do anything, I mean his relationship with his parents, his feelings towards them, did they still love him, did they make him feel loved?

Harlepolis

What really moved me beyond all of that horror, is his attitude, and I believe him. It takes a strong individual to still maintain a positive outlook on life/people despite what he/she went through.

And what a great tribute!

T4P, I'm sending this all around.
