Ok Org Tech Geeks...you've helped me before, so before I call Comcast wondering if y'all can help me again.

My (wireless) internet, cable and phone is set up through Comcast. I have had great service up until now, but for the past week I can't download ANYTHING. I tried downloading a CD last week...it took especially long to download, and when it LOOKED like it did, the tracks wouldn't play (NEVER had this issue before downloading music)...tried downloading an update to my Blu Ray and it can't complete...same thing for a video game off Wii. Finally I tried downloading an app on my iphone while home on my WiFi and sure enough it couldn't complete (It DID complete when switching to 3G). I am guessing there is something wrong with the wireless router...so plan on calling Comcast...however...anyone know if I can fix it on my own? Anyone else have this problem before? BTW, I AM able to surf the net...so I am thinking its not my connection. ANY help will be appreciated.

Don't want to get your hopes up by pushing your thread to the top but have you tried doing a speedtest. It'll tell you how fast and,more importantly, if at all your upload and downloads are going...might give you a clue if one is amazingly slow and causing a timeout on downloads.

The other thing is, and you don't have to answer, a google search throws up that Comcast seem to be throttling naughty downloads and they also have a download limit in place...not knowing anything about them I'm not sure if thats well known
