Ladies - what NOT to do in the GYM LOCKER ROOM

I don't know about you but I absolutely cringe with disgust when I see women doing this at the gym..

1. Its enough we have to discreetly undress and dress in front of one another but do we really have to see your naked body gazing into the mirror while openly dryining your coo-cat? Can't you do that in the shower before you step out?

2. Why can't you just flush? There is nothing wrong with the toilet and if you sprinkle wipe the seat.

3. Wash your hands- Do you know how many ladies I see go back to the gym floor without doing this? Nasty.

4. Ughhh- I know work outs bring funk- but that's what deodarant is for. And please remember that there are different kinds of deoderant. for example- under arm spray , coo-cat spray, body spray, etc. You could even use powder under precious parts like, well... your boobs if you are very, very well endowed. And don't get me started about the stinch sometimes after a pool class. If you smell this horrid coming out of the pool- I know I don't want to be taking aqua aerobics classes- relaxing in the whirlpool- or sitting next to you in the sauna!!! Why exactly are you wrapping yourself in a garbage bag before you work out? We don't wanna smell that!!!!!

5. Why are you taking pictures of yourself with your phone? I am standing behind you getting dressed- either you are stupid or a pervert.

6. This is not a hang out spot- do what you gotta do and leave- I shouldnt see you in the same spot before and after a workout class just chillin.... what? confused

7. Bring a lock- when you return and your stuff is missing- don't give the people around you the evil eye because you were stupid enough to leave your valuables unlocked.

I'm exhausted with the nonesense I see grown women doing at the gym... L.A. Fitness needs to pay me for my pain and suffering.

LOVE HARD.

eek Another reason why I work out at home. I know it's probably better at the gym, but, ew. Ewwww....funk and germs and all that is a turn off for me. And I'd never parade around naked in a women's locker room whether I had the body for it, or was rockin' the one I have now.

lol my lady balls aren't THAT big. My goodness Evvy, that's traumatic!

There's a corporate gym where I work...and I can honestly say I have never experienced any of this.

Oh good lawd...

I go to a public gym here, and I've never seen women do that in the women's locker room. There was like...only one time I saw women parading around naked and shit eek. I vowed then and there I'd never use the communal locker room for the pool. Thankfully, there are two locker rooms. One for the pool, which is downstars. And another for the actual gym, which is upstairs. The one upstars has boths for you to change in and take showers in.

The locker room for the pool....communal showers and change rooms. Thank God they have a family change room. Those have separate showers and change areas. I use that when I go swim. lol

Oops. Except the lock. There are people who hang coats & boots and/or clothes in the locker room lockers without locking them up. There are free wallet-sized lockers for everyone to use.

I have actually done that myself when I forgot to pack my lock - put my wallet and phone in the wallet locker and left everything else unlocked in a regular locker while I worked out. Everything was where I left it when I got back.

Girl, you just need to go to a new gym! The "ladies" at the one you go to sound just trifling. If you have a contract, see if you can go to another location but if you can just change gyms altogether with no penalties, I highly recommend doing so. hug

wink The home gym has been crafted by my father, actually. It would do wonders if people would actually use it. I am. Gotta work for the great body.

I won't shower at work. I mean, our place is pretty clean - but you know there are still some nasties in that shower room. Especially in summer, when the place never dries fully. And I have issues with walking around the locker room barefoot. (Shower shoes defeat the purpose of a "quick shower" IMO.)

I just "shower" with anti-bacterial wipes after I work out - hitting the areas that are most likely to become funky. It's not like I actually get dirty when I work out. shrug

Public gyms are breeding grounds for bacteria.

And I've never understood why adults are willing to put themselves in a situation where they have to work out, shower, undress and dress around perfect strangers anyway.

I don't work out, but if I did I'd just buy one of those workout dvd sets off one of those infomercials and do all that in the convenience and privacy of my own home lol .

This thread has just ruined my chances of getting horny/excited for the next couple of weeks, at least.

my penis and tongue will definitely rest until June...I just can't diggest the words funk, smell, sweet and germs in the same thread...

All of these things occur in men's locker rooms, also. But for the men, I need to add a couple of items:

1. Stop coughing up and spitting out your flem while you are in the shower, you nasty fuck! Don't you realize that people have to use that same shower when you're done? If you have that much flem in your chest, perhaps you need to be visiting a doctor's office instead of being in the gym!

2. Stop spitting your flem in the water fountains and the sinks! How much more disgusting can you possibly be?

3. Don't leave your nasty, smelly, sweat-filled drawers on the shower/locker room floor for the cleaning crew to pick up. You don't have any maids/butlers here!!!

I hate using shower gyms, too. They're disgusting! But, if you are working out in the morning prior to going to work, then you have no other choice.

IMO, you push yourself more at a public gym.

Most experts say it's because you burn more calories during the day when you work out first thing in the morning. For me, it's easier to do it in the mornings so it's out of the way. Also, I'm usually kind of wired afterwards and I don't like to be wired at night when I'm trying to go to sleep. Plus, waiting to do a workout after working a 8.5 hour shift many times just doesn't work out for me. I usually end up going home instead of the gym. A couple of years ago, I lost a lot of weight working out in the mornings and then I decided I was going to switch to evenings and ended up gaining it all back because I wasn't going most of the time. So now I'm back to mornings and losing weight again.
