Buttermilk soaked Springer Mountain Farm chicken breast topped with a bourbon-bacon-smoked tomato sauce with baked macaroni and cheese and sauteed kale.

With some of THE best NC local made beer to wash her down

Well, I can't have anything 'til my rehearsal lets out at 10 o'clock tonight. But it's supposed to snow here tomorrow, so I'm going to stop on my way home from work and pick up a bottle of Rumple Minze, a bottle of Kahlúa, and some milk - and have some "special" hot chocolate while I watch the 1938 version of A Christmas Carol tomorrow morning. cool

I don't like creamy drinks. I like my liquor like Johnart (fruity).

Oh, man - that stuff is yum.mee! My mom keeps a bottle of it in the freezer - right next to her vodka. lol

I started drinking it in college. One of my friends turned me onto it as a "totally broke" drink. She said, "The nice thing about it is that you can urse one schnapps on the rocks all night long - and have nice, fresh breath the whole time!" nod

Actually, schnapps is huge in Wisconsin. All that German heritage here, you know.

Oh, yeah. I grew up in Iowa, and schnapps is pretty big there too (and my mom's of German descent). I discovered Rumple Minze in college as well. I loved the minty fresh breath it gave me, which I assumed compensated for all the cigarrettes I was smoking at the time. lol

Wait - what? Southern Comfort is my winter drank!

Okay, here's what you make with SoCo - a totally Wisconsin drink called an old fashioned.

Muddle a sugar cube with a couple dashes of bitters and an orange slice. Fill the glass with ice, pour in about three fingers of SoCo, and top it off with seltzer. Garnish it with a maraschino cherry.

Most folks here do old fashioneds with brandy, but I gotta have SoCo. nod

Sounds good. If we weren't snowed in, I would send hubby out to get sugar cubes, seltzer & cherries.

Nothing, nowadays. I'm as dry as an nun's fandango. I was treating it like medicine and it was curing nowt. Woke up face down on too many strange, dusty carpets. And pavements. And other things not as pleasant. I found it very difficult not to drink until I dropped - but a strong constitution ensured I would often need some chemical assistance to sleep. Fucking disgusting behaviour for someone who has no major demons. I don't even smoke anymore. I watch The X Factor on a Saturday night. I have a big jumper for the winter. I'm addicted to mind-numbing soap operas. I clear my gutter. i have given in and it's not so bad. I am waiting for death.

I am not a heavy drinker. One drink and I am good and I sip it too. I do drink more often now that I live in the UK, rarely getting drunk though.

Nothing could make me watch the X Factor. I would rather clean the gutters. lol

I watch it with my big jumper on. I remember the time I took coke off my mate's bald head and weep.
