Oh, and my dad had vitiligo, which is usually found in African Americans rather than whites. He thinks it came on because of stress induced by a train wreck he was in when he was about 10.

I don't have it, though. And I've read that it skips a generation, but so far neither my 16-year-old son or 14-year-old daughter have any pigmentation issues.

And I am an extremely easy tanner, which I guess is the opposite of vitiligo.

Is it really more common or just more noticeable?

I think it's more common in African Americans, but I was told that a long time ago so I might be wrong.

i have mildly webbed toes. (just the ones that are my forefinger and middles finger toes)

Our son has a slight webbing, just two toes on one foot. The dr that checked him over before releasing him from hospital didn't even notice it.

I found it when we got home.

I was all eek and showed it to the health visitor that came out a few days later. She giggled and said it was common and it would not effect him at all.

Come to find out, it is hereditary on hubbies side. Figures...bloody Brits rolleyes

Ehlers Danlos Syndrome here.

It's a genetic defect in collagen production.

I have circus-freak flexibility because my joints don't hold together properly, freakishly soft, smooth skin with no stretch marks, and then there's the chronic pain, respiratory illnesses and poor wound healing but that stuff is lame. smile I think it also has to do with the fact that I eat thousands of calories daily but stay very small. There's nothing definitive, but many EDS patients report voracious appetites and eating tons of food despite being normal-to-underweight.

It's what you make it.

Translucent and velvety smooth skin is part of her genetic disorder also.

Yeah, that. Didn't see this before I posted.

Side note: My favorite nude model has skin that looks very similar to mine. She also posts on her blog about many symptoms that seem to mirror what I have.

I emailed her about Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, and it turns out she'd never heard of it and her family history closely matches EDS characteristics! She's going to ask her doctor about it. mushy

I think she owes me sex.

When I was young the two teeth beside the front top ones were shaped like a "T" on the bottom if I tipped my head backward and you looked from underneath

But the real one is my body does not sweat much but my hands sweat a lot. It is totally innocuous, but pretty annoying as you might imagine. People might think I am nervous but that is not really the deal.

You have my support:

I posted the missing the SG site comment and thought I ended up in a different thread afterwards. So my immediate reaction was to edit and say, "sorry, wrong thread". But when I posted that I realized I was in the correct thread all along, so I blamed it on the Org. hmph! lol Basically I haven't had any coffee yet this morning. whistling

Well, there's also the atmosphere of thread-jacking that makes a Genetic Anomalies thread turn into a porn thread. So it's not always easy to keep track. smile

What's the SG site?

Suicide Girls. That's the SG watermark on the first set of pics in the Mandy link. I was a member there for many years but decided to let it go this past Summer.
