Questions: iTunes Backing Up & Reinstalling

I'm backing up my iTunes 10 folder to an external HDD because I'm installing a new HDD.

My question . . .

I thought when I backed up iTunes my playlist, play-counts, EQ settings and ratings would be there also. Whenever I've moved my iTunes folders for an external drive back to a computers HDD, I never have those things highlight above. If I can do this, what I'm doing wrong? Thank you for your assistance.

Nah, I haven't. Printed out the instructions and will try to install my new HDD drive today. When I had to reinstall iTunes once before I lost my EQ , playcounts, and ratings. So, I'll see what happens this time with these instrutions and return. Thanks again. smile
