Roger Clemens just got indicted

Wow, how the mighty have fallen. I do not know why he is still represented by Houston's Worst Lawyer, Rusty Hardin. But in reality, Clemens has mostly himself to blame for this.

WASHINGTON – A federal grand jury on Thursday indicted seven-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens for allegedly lying to Congress about using steroids.

Clemens faces charges of obstruction of Congress, making false statements and perjury.

The former Major League baseball pitcher and his former trainer, BrianMcNamee, testified under oath at a 2008 hearing before a House committee and contradicted each other about whether Clemens had used the banned substances.

McNamee has told federal agents, baseball investigator GeorgeMitchell and the committee that he injected Clemens more than a dozen times with steroids and human growth hormone from 1998 to 2001.

Clemens has maintained that McNamee was lying.

Clemens' attorney, Rusty Hardin, said by telephone from Houston that he had just learned of the indictment and would wait to decide whether to comment.

How are they going to prove their case? Or is this the case where the trainer saved the vial and syringes that he used to inject Clemens (which would have his DNA on it)?

Either way, I always liked Clemens. But I guess they want to make an example out of anyone that they can. Sad because so many of them have used steroids at one time or another, and sad because they all seem to lie about it.

Because the prosecutors are a bunch of bitter old coots who can no longer swing their own bats, lol.

Never lie to a Federal Grand jury, it doesn't matter why you've been brought in-front of one.

Mr. Clemens has been accused of lying and just because the prosecution says he lied under oath, doesn't make it so either. That's what courts are for and Mr. Clemens has enough funds to lawyer up.

Actually, they do have his DNA from his former trainer. I've hated his ass since we kicked his ass in the world series in '86. I hated the way he promised to hit Daryl Strawberry the next time he faced him after he hit a home run at Shea in the 7th game of that world series then did the next year at spring training. I hated him as a yankee ... shit I hate the yankees anyway, but when he threw a broken bat at Pena in the world series again I knew I was justified in hating this fucking cheating bastard. I've always stated that pitchers have the advantage over hitters when they use PED's. Hitters still need a good eye to hit the ball but pitchers can stay out there longer and hurl 90 mph pitches long after non PED using pitchers have faded. Guess the world now knows why he put up such great numbers.

lol

In sports I only hate "great" opponents. So it's actually a complement to Roger or any other athlete I might mention from time to time, to be hated by me. If I love 'em then they would be easy walkovers.
